Mutter by Rammstein (CD, Apr-2001, Republic Records)

Rammstein is a unique band from Germany. You have to translate their work to appreciate them. Their music doesn't sound like what the lyrics are about, but it sure rocks hard! This is their best work, with Feuer Frei as the best song in my opinion. That one was in the movie XXX with Vin Diesel. This entire album is outstanding, and is a must have for anybody that likes Rammstein. Highly recommend Reise Reise as well. Rosenrot is not as hard. Get the video collection too, their videos are way too good for the MTV sellout garbage we see here in the USA. HIGHLY recommend!

The first rammstein album I've ever heard. I rank it 2nd behind Reise, Reise.

Sometime in the latter part of 2001 I discovered Rammstein in the form of the song "Mutter", the title track.

And I now own every CD,DVD, and Song they have ever released!
"Mutter" is definitely Rammstein's gold crown, it really does not matter how many more albums Rammstein releases, Mutter is one of those rare gem's that will never be topped.

Some of the tracks are a bit familiar but I blame that more on people that hear one song on a movie and call themselves fans than the band. I implore you to do yourself a favor and buy all of Rammstein's albums, but if I had to recommend a jumping off point "Mutter" would be it!

This album is one of those rare cases where a band really does it all right.
Every track has its own unique mixture of industrialised, goth metal that will not disappoint fans of a similar sound.
The album starts strong and ends with you wanting more.

Rammstein's lyrics must be translated for non-German speakers to be appreciated, but it's well worth it.

One of the best CDs I own. Rammstien rocks from the first track all the way to the last. If you like hard rock you must have this CD. It doesn't matter that it is in German. They rock and you will feel it in this CD.

well to start saying i love the band Rammstien so in saying so the Cd is amazing i bought it for a good price saving money from the store price so overall its good very different from most bands but will never get old

Rammstein is a terrific band that's made a worldwide hit. They do carry the heavy metal industrial sound with them alot but that's more or less their signature tune. Mutter is a good mix of power on a small but distinctive variety of levels.

This is a great CD by one of the most impressive bands ever. They have a very unique sound. I really enjoy the way they weave the heavy quitar riffs with the keyboard and the vocals are terrific!
