The soundtrack to 2007's MUSIC AND LYRICS, a romantic comedy starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore, features plenty of 1980s-pop-inspired tunes, many of them penned by Fountains of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger. Amusing highlights of the collection include various tracks sung by Grant himself, who plays a washed-up New Wave performer, particularly the synth-laden "Pop Goes My Heart" and the George Michael-like ballad "Meaningless Kiss."

    If you watch the movie, you will want the sound track. The music is TOTALLY AWESOME!!

    HA HA - GREAT MOVIE!! - I didn't think i'd like it, plot sounded boring, typical looking chic flic. But it was really good. The BEST PART - that 80s video he does in the beginning of the movie from back in the day when he was an 80's pop star, before he is now a "HAS BEEN", HILARIOUS, I know we watched just that part 10 times before sending it back. IF YOU ARE AN 80's CHILD, YOU WILL LOVE IT AND LAUGH TOO!! Awesome Movie!
