Album Notes When "Beavis & Butt-Head" creator Mike Judge turned his eye to the Texan Hill family, he tapped into a rich vein of humor, full of the detritus of lowbrow American culture. This collection of tunes from and inspired by the show features the kind of top-shelf country artists who probably grace the radio stations and arenas of Hank Hill's hometown. Travis Tritt and George Thorogood take a spirited romp through Hank Williams' "Move It on Over"; Brooks and Dunn, Faith Hill, and other hot country names turn up; and even pop artists like Sheryl Crow and Tonic manage to find a way to fit into things. Fans of the show will undoubtedly appreciate the vocal debut of Hank Hill himself on the over-the-top Red Sovine tearjerker "Teddy Bear," as well as "One Tin Soldier," as hilariously rendered by Hank's airhead niece Luanne. Thing close out nicely with the Refreshments cowpunk instrumental that is the show's theme.
