Murphy Brown - The Complete First Season (DVD, 2005)

This was without a doubt one of the bset shows ever on primetime TV. the cast clicked so well you believed them to be who they acted to be. I bought this as soon as it came out, and still watch the rerun on Nick at night. great show,.

Murphy Brown - Season 1. I hadn't seen this show in quite some time when I watched this. It has not stood the test of time in my opinion. I couldn't even finish watching it. Sorry Murphy.

The Murphy Brown TV Show was great. I laughed out loud at some of the things they did. Corky and Silverberg were very funny characters and Eldin who was Murphy's private painter just made me laugh. They went to bar after work and they car pooled it was like a small family. On the last episode of Murphy Brown, Murphy was pregnant and gave birth to Avery. It made national news and headlines as the real Vice President of USA had a problem with the show as Murphy Brown was an unmarried woman having a child. A hot issue and political debate in 1992. Those were the day!

My wife and I loved this series and we watched it faithfully. When I saw the dvd I thought that I would surprise her with it. We love watching the old episodes. Brings back great memories and a lot of laughs.. If you were a Murphy Brown fan , this is a MUST. What a cast !

The best part of this series is the supporting cast and the on going "gags". Like the parade of Murphy's secretaries, and Eldon's continual painting of Murphy's house. The quirky supporting cast are excellent and keep the show moving and the viewer laughing. Candice is a perfect Murphy. I bought it because I remember watching it when it originally aired, and was not disappointed as i have been with other Tv shows I used to watch and then bought the DVDs. I am looking forward to getting Season 2, if it is ever released. The only negative is that a couple of the shows deal totally with a social issue, trying to stress a point which induces sleep. But most are fabulous. The occasional cursing, which adds nothing, is also a drag. It was a one of a kind series, and a one of a kind cast.

Why is there only one season available? The characters are great to watch; especially Miles. The writing of the scripts are done very well. I don't agree always with Murphy's philosopy about things but is good for a laugh. So when will there be more?

One of the best comedy series on TV in a long time. In the same elite group as Mary Tyler Moore, Barney Miller, WKRP. Great ensemble production. Over the years the series lost it sedge, as they all do. But in this first season it is all great!

Hey sometimes even with 500 channels on your cable there is well lets politely call it excrament on TV. So you think back to a show ya really liked that was on a decade ago and ya think ya that would hit the spot right now. Well with Bush Jr leavin the white house wouldn't it be fun to remember the sitcom screw ups of his dads era. So for a few dollars i bought myself a few relived laughs and a great couple of hours of remeberence with a fun cast and a great script.

Great show,can't wait for the second season....I enjoyed watching this over and over again...There isn't anything i didn't like about this season...

The complete first season, with some nice DVD special Features. The show in perfect digital quality, and just as funny as I remember it -- with NO commercials! I can hardly wait for the next season to be out!

I bought this DVD season because I need it for a gift.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the "Murphy Brown" series available in a boxed set and there was no doubt I had to buy it. The character and I had so much in common when it first aired back in the mid-80's, especially when she became pregnant. I too was an older professional, becoming a single mom in 1985, so those episodes came along just when I needed them the most. I related to her completely. There were times when things got rough and her strange combination of zany strength actually helped me. As with all sitcoms, Murphy might not be everyone's favorite, but for me she was a good friend. Here I am 20 years later, reliving this blast from my past and enjoying every minute!

It has been years since the cast of FYI graced our screen and they were as sharp and funny as we remembered. The fist season includes all the characters and introduces Eldon the house painter.

I love this show!!!! I really hope they come out with the second season pretty soon, cause I will be all over that.

If you liked the series at all you will love this DVD set. It is so fun to watch. Laugh out load fun. I really want the other seasons to come out on DVD.

So fun to watch! If you are a Murphy Brown fan this is a must own. I only wish the other seasons were out on DVD, I'd buy them too!
