Checking the Sunday Paper Obits and noticed that Yvonne De Carlo passed away earlier this year, on January 8th.
I remember that back in 1964, she was cast as Lily Munster in the TV series The Munsters; the show had a three-year run in primetime but is still seen in syndication. I thought that she added a lot of class to that show and was very sexy looking....especially in black and white!
She reprised that role in the 1981 television movie The Munster's Revenge in color.
In the meantime I had seen her earlier movies on TV when she was a classic Hollywood Beauty in the Song of Scheherazade, Casbah, and The Gal Who Took the West. Her best known role at that time period was being Sephora, Moses' wife, in Cecil B. DeMille's epic The Ten Commandments. She had a classic beauty look in those pics... and was seen on a level with Sophia Loren, and Gina Lollabridgida in classic looks.
For those that like Yvonne DeCarlo as an actress, this DVD of her TV acting period on the Munsters is not to be missed! She definitely made this vamp role her own!

I grew up watching THE MUNSTERS and loved them then and still do now.It's great to have all the first season episodes in this 3 disk set,and the Munster family are more appealing to me than some of the t.v. families you see now a-days on the tube,at least the Munsters sat down as a family for dinner every night and had family values unlike most of the families that are portrayed on modern shows.LOL!If you like the Munsters this is a cool dvd set to have and it's fun to introduce them to this generation .

The thing I like about comedy shows like the Munsters, Dick Van Dyke, Andy Griffith, and the Honeymooners is that you know almost every line from every show, but yet you still watch as if seeing it for the first time. Fred and Al were so great in Car 54 and even better as Herman and Grandpa. The Munsters are/were harmless. They were there to do a couple of things, make you laugh and take you away from life's situations for 30 minutes. My grandson (he's 4) loves Herman and now yet another generation will know all the characters names soon enough and love them like we did when they first came to TV in 64'.

Great dvd set. The whole family loves watching this set, even though it's 40 plus years old! I decided to buy it after waiting for TV Land to air Munsters episodes every week or so. My seven year old wanted to watch Herman daily! A great buy for anyone who is into the Munsters.

I would love to review this, but I never received the DVD set for which I paid $30.25, and I have never received a refund. I filed a claim with eBay on this, yet I am asked to write a review on a DVD that I will never see. That adds insult to injury.

WOW, This is a great DVD set. I have always loved the Munsters. When I was a child I would race home from school to watch the Munsters on tv. Now Im much older and I still love watching them. So if your a big Munsters fan like me then order this DVD set. It is a must have for your DVD collection. The box it comes in has great graphics, It is put together very well. The best part of this is that I can now watch the Munsters any time I wish.

Real gem for munster fans. Enjoying all episodes in comfort of my home. Show is very funny and cast chemistry is great. Very enjoyable. Can play all of my favorite episodes over and over and whenever I want.

Excellent , I was waiting for this a long time ago and I only found it HERE!!!I liked all the CD's was both sides , I really love it and my family enjoyed a lot.I bought it because I was tired waiting in TCM channel to see it but take it out from the listings.

Unfunny "jokes" and largely unimaginative storylines made this series very lame. Paul Lynde was amusing in his brief bits, but "Sleeping Cutie" was the only entertaining episode in the entire collection. It's a wonder -to me- that the series stayed on the air for as long as it did...
