Mr. Woodcock (DVD, 2008)

I decided to buy this movie,after renting it,a very short time ago-So funny I have watched it at least 50 times.Great situation Comedy...I let my Dad borrow it,and he loved it,and had to have it as well.Well writen,and thought out.One of my favorites,and I don't even like Billy Bob Thorton.Sure to be a classic.

I thought this movie was hilarious! Billy Bob Thornton is excellent. I don't see how he kept a straight face. This movie is very funny, it kept me laughing all the way through.

Had some funny parts. Good actors, some funny lines. More a tv movie then a big screen . Can't say I would reccomend to buy it, but to rent for a night would be worth the money. I enjoyed the action at the end of credits as much as the movie itself.

I thought this movie would be a lot funnier than what it was. I have seen better movies, and I think if it was written better then the movie would have been excellent. The actors were pretty good with what they were given, it was the writers who dropped the ball.

Nothing funny at all about this.Billy Bob Thorton played his typical jerk, but the old Stiff meister was nothing like he normally is.This is definately just a rental.Don't waste your money buying it.In fact I would just hold off until it is shown on hbo , or showtime or even normal cable.I wish I would have not bought it.

There were many funny moments in this movie that had me cracking up but I started to get annoyed by the fact that Mr. Woodcock got the best of Farley every time. The ending was so/so. All in all, not a bad movie but would advise to rent it before buying.

I loved this movie. This movie is hilarious and one I wouldn;t mind watching again and again so I bought it. I don;t buy many movies because I usually don;t like to watch the same thing over again. This one is a classic!

This movie is a very disappointing movie for susan surandon. I usually like everything she plays in. Not this time.

Thought it was going to be funny like the Bad News Bears with Billy Bob Thorton. Wasn't funny during the first 15 min. Didn't watch more; had other movies to enjoy.

Overall, we rate Mr. Woodcock as an "average film". It does have some hilarious parts, but they dont last throughout the film. If you have seen the Trailer/Pre-Views, you pretty much seen all of the comical parts of the movie. We bought it, and some of us here saw it as worth keeping, while others of us say "sell it... we should have rented it first". It definitely could have been a much better movie than what it was. Throughout the film, we were always looking for Farley to get one up on Woodcock, but it never really happened.

It has its funny parts, but it gets a little dry and may lose your attention several times throughout the film. Will we watch it again? Maybe, maybe not.

Its just a good funny movie, and it was a good deal with the astronaut farmer. Cant really go wrong with a Billy Bob Thornton movie.

KEPT YOU LAUGHING AND WONDERING WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT WILL WATCH IT AGAIN AND AGAIN THE CHARCTERS WERE GREAT. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE TO OTHER VIEWERS. WE ARE GLAD THAT WE OWN THIS MOVIE SO THAT WE CAN WATCH IT AT ANYTIME. I THOUGHT THIS WAS bILLY BOB THORTONS BETTER ROLES.

BEING A BILLY BOB THORNTON FAN I THOUGHT THE MOVIE WAS GREAT. I LAUGHED SO HARD THAT MY SIDES HURT. ONE OF THE BEST AND MOST ORIGINAL COMEDY'S I'VE SEEN IN A WHILE.

This concept amused me when it first came out because, when I was in junior high, we had a former marine who was the boy's "Coach." He had a reputation similar to that of Mr. Woodcock. The movie is darkly funny and Billy Bob Thornton is at his deadpan, no holds barred best here. Susan Sarandon is the perfect focus as the object of Mr. Woodcock' romantic feelings and as the mother of one of his abused former students. The bit with Mr. Woodcock visiting his father in a nursing home is a hilarious depiction of how none of us "fall very far from the genetic tree." The old guy is amazingly funny -- great lines....Amy Poehler's performance is a bit over the top and sadly superfluous to the story. She is a distraction and takes away from what could could have been a much better storyline in which the co-star comes to terms with his Mom issues and falls in love with his high school sweet heart during the home visit (the classic hollywood we miss so much).

I had seen it on a movie channel and loved it! I decided to purchase it, and I pretty much get all my DVD's from ebay. I also purchased a second movie with it and received a discount on my shipping and handling. I love the second movie too. I have had it on VHS forever and wanted to replace it with a DVD. Both movies were great buys also. I received perfect service and would rate the ebay seller as A++++++!

I loved this movie!!! Billy Bob Thornton has once again brought laughter to the movie screen. His character of the gym teacher in grade school was excellently played! I would highly recommend this movie for adults, and possibly some teens.

I decided to buy the movie because I like the actors that were in it, but overall I wasn't thrilled with the movie. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't one of those movies you can't wait to watch again and again.

this was a real funny movie to watch with friends and we like this movie with no dislikes and it was worth the purchase
