Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol (DVD, 2004)

I purchased 2 Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carrol DVD and both times they credited me for the movie. When I got in contact with the seller, he said that the warehouse didn't have any DVD's and on the ebay page it said he had 39 available. If you want to purchase something from this seller, be aware you might not get it.

A great childhood classic that I wished to introduce to my children. The ageless tale of redemption put to the excellent voice of Jim Backus (Mr. Howell of Gilligans Iland). A must-have for the Christmas fan.

I enjoy Christmas and all the glitz and glitter it brings. But it also brings a change of heart. People are more tolerant, loving and perhaps a bit kinder to their fellow man. The "Christmas Carol" movie displays a marvelous transformation from deep seeded greed to ultimate freedom. I have several renditions of Scrooge ranging from Alastair Simm to Mr. Magoo. I love to see different versions of the same movie to capture the essence of the message of good will towards men. This rendition of Scrooge is lighthearted and very entertaining. The songs are refreshing, original and merry. And yes, this is an old cartoon - 1965 - but it still holds the attention of the audience. It is fast paced and, although it is LOOSELY based on the original "Christmas Carol" movies, you still understand what the author is trying to relay. Mr. Magoo is the lively old man we have come to know and love. You can't replace a classic - even if it is a cartoon.

Yes, it seems silly and childish but this animated version of a Christmas Carol is the most heartfelt and endearing of all. The song "The Lord's Bright Blessing" brings tears to my eyes every time, and the thieves' song is hilarious. They don't show it on TV anymore but, of course, I had no trouble finding it on ebay.

Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol has got to be the very first and best of the cartoon/animated Christmas specials from the early 1960s! Mr Magoo was popular even before this special came into play but, I make sure to watch it every year with my children knowing that they too will continue to watch it when they eventually have children of their own! It's just an absolutely wonderful production to have in your private collection!!!

This one of the cutest movies ever. With a moral to the story, done in a way that is entertaining yet with a message that comes through loud and clear. I love this movie.

This is one my family's favorite versions of this Dicken's classic story. The music is wonderful and the characters are perfect. We owned the VHS version and I couldn't wait to purchase the DVD.

This was my favorite Christmas special as a child, so I was tickled to see I could purchase it for my sister and me.We had never seen it in color.

Holiday cartoon clasic. Bought 8t because it brought back childhood memories. My children don't really know Mr. Magoo so it gave us a chance to watch it together. Because my children have been brought up in the age of technology, it was very different for them to watch. But we all enjoyed it and I was glad I made the purchase.

Although this is not the classic telling of this story, it is by FAR the best and one that is a "must see" every December! I've loved it since I was a kid(now I'm fifty something). GREAT DVD!!!

This is a Christmas favorite in my house,right up there with a Christmas Story. I saw it when I was a little girl and now I can share it with my young daughter. Our favorite is the "La la lalala la la - Blankety blank blank-no good!" song, that we all sing together with and laugh hysterically. This movie is truely a Christmas treasure!!!

The product was a holiday based item and offered a buy it now option, hopefully that would allow receipt by the holiday for a present. The sellor claimed that their policies at times meant the product was out of stock and would not be immediately shippable. The sellor requested that fifteen days be allowed for shipping and receipt. After 15 days, I sent an email inquiring whether there was a problem. I received no response from the email and I waited about three weeks and then put in a paypal dispute. No direct response from the sellor, so I elevated the dispute and the sellor finally emailed paypal that the item was out of stock and was willing to cancel the transaction. I would like to give an evaluation of the actual product, but since the sellor failed to advise me after the buy it now procedure that the product wasn't available and didn't respond to my email; I can't evaluate the actual quality of the product..

I never got it. I never got a reply from the seller. I waited 6 weeks and 4 emails to him before i gave him a poor rating. He took my money. paid 5 mins fter was sold. never whine or complained. Just a simple buy and he could not provide even a reply to me for what I bought. dont let high selling numbers fool you..... he still took money with out sending the product. Think thats called being a thief. Too bad cause I love ebay. a christmas movie i never got for christmas. gives new meaning to the word Mr.miserly Scrooge (Screwed)

The product was ordered for Christmas. When I requested shipping info in January, I was advised that the product was back-ordered and would ship as soon as possible. I finally received the DVD on Jan. 22. Customer service was very helpful once I initiated the request for status of the DVD. I am very happy with the product and glad to finally receive it. An old Holiday favorite and looking forward to enjoying it next Christmas.

The movie is great,but i was expecting the movie any time soon,and didn't happen,i think in the delivery you are kind of slow.I hope you take a note in this. thank you.

I feel like I was back home, a ten year old little girl, sitting in front of the old Phillips tv, on that swivel tv stand!! Boy, have Christmas movies changed. This was so innocent.nothing like the garbage now (cartoons for children) I played it for the children in my day care center, and told them how it was my favorite as a little girl, and now they're all singing "can we have a Christmas tree, with razzleberry dressing"? just like Bob Cratchitts' children!! Will always be my favorite!!

I love the whole story of the Christmas Carol in all forms. This is special because this is the one my children grew up watching, I love the animation and the voice-overs. Great to get in the holiday spirit with!! I decicded to buy it because we now have a granddaughter and our only copy was taken off of tv years ago on vhs and it was not a good one. Since we will have many years with her to watch we decided to go for a new dvd. Iwould certainly recommend this movie.

Loved it as a child and wanted family and friends to experience it also. It is a classic with the Voice of Jim Baccus ( Mr Howell of Gilligan's Island fame). He doe's a classic Scrooge and Mr Magoo doe's it again. I recomend this seller because of not only his selection but his fast delivery.

this is the ultimate Christmas movie for me an my family it's the first Christmas Carlo movie either myself or my husband saw as kids it brings back so many memories of my childhood when we would watch t.v. specials with the whole family I now get to sit here and watch this great movie with my kids and husband and even with today's graphics my kids love watching this with us they think it's cool that we watched this at their age
