One of the best movies ever made about the troubles of being up and down bi-polar

I could watch this movie every day and still enjoy it.

The love story was a bit over the top but it is still realistic.

bought for school project over personality disorders, I would have never watched it the whole way through if i didn't have to

I bought this for a class I was taking because I needed to write an essay about it and by the time this arrived the essay had already been due. I was forced to go out and rent it so I paid to rent and purchase this DVD, by the time I wanted to return it, it had been shipped so I got stuck with it.

This movie gives a good portrayal of manic depression, from the high manic stage of believing you can fly to the downward spiral of not even being able to do a simple math problem. Its a love story, but mostly an inside look at being manic depressive.

I guess the reason I rate this movie as excellent is because of being married to someone that is Bi-Polor. Or maybe I should say manic-depressive. Very hard living with someone with this Illness. There is truth in this movie from the get-go. Everyone should watch this movie to learn what it is really like being a manic-depressive person. So true the up's and down's this man goes through.
Richard Gere did an excellent job protraying a manic-depressive person. In other words Bi-Polor . I see it as the same thing.
Doctor after Doctor,after Doctor. So much truth in this movie !!
