Great recipes!! Can't wait to make the cannoli filling!! I have other Mr. Food books and love them all for the simplicity of the recipes. Great price. Fantastic book for anyone who loves Italian cooking!!

  A learning experience
Review created: 07/20/08

Although I only paid $1.00 for the cookbook and expected it to be used and not in the best condition...I didn't expect that about 10 pages had been cut out. It came from a library and was checked and a review on the back page said that pages were missing. It's not worth sending back or making much of a stance about it. Just disappointed...packaging and mail as expected.

  Mr. Food's Italian Kitchin
Review created: 03/05/08

I LOVE Art Ginsburg's book!! Being married to an Italian with five children, I always felt the need to "cook Italian style", but I just didn't have the time for the old receipes that were handed to me by my mother-in-law, that consisted of alot of work and cooking time.
Mr. Ginsburg's book brought all the Italian favorites that I learned of through the family, back to a current day and age with fast short-cuts and cooking time, without losing any of the flavor or lessening the quality. No one in the family is aware of the fact that the meal/entree was created in, usually, 30 minutes or less, and the cost of ingredients was that which I could afford without taking away from the taste.

I recommend this book 125% to those who wish they could experience the taste and dishes of a great Italian family-oriented restaurant, without the cost, time, and hassle involved in creating the old unique family receipes!!!(And his cooking instructions are easy to follow, even for those of us who can't boil water!!) A definite A+++++!!
