Mr. Driller Drill Spirits (Nintendo DS, 2004)

I got this game for my Birthday. This game brought out the little boy they say is inside of every man. I was a fellow driller, rushing to find fresh air in an air capsules. I faced the challenges of falling blocks in a rainbow of colors. My mind was rushing like a computer to solve the puzzles. My heart was beating as if it was a time bomb about to go off as I felt panic building as time was running out. The best part is I'm working under ground without any risk or any danger.
I'm still on a mission to try and win this game! This game is fun!

This game is a lot of fun and somewhat challenging. I bought it because I couldn't keep borrowing. Well worth what it cost.

Mr Driller Drill Spirits is a great puzzle game only on the DS.

Gameplay is simple, players choose from a selection of characters (each with their pros and cons).
You have to drill down through a series of coloured blocks whilst avoiding being crushed by them as they fall.
This is not the kind of puzzle game that you can take time with. You need to keep your air supply filled up by finding air capsules. This forces you to keep drilling further downwards creating more falling blocks to avoid.

Each level in Mission Driller Mode has a set depth you need to drill to in order to finish the level and unlock additional characters.

If you decide to get this game, I urge you to buy the Japanese or UK version NOT the US/NTSC version.
The Japanese and UK versions have an extra game mode called Dristone Driller Mode and an Extra special character to unlock - USAGI the rabbit.
Both of these are not in the US version of the game.

If you want this game with the terrible voice acting then get the US or UK versions, otherwise get the Japanese version for the original voice acting.

Overall a great puzzle game worth getting if you want this type of game for the DS.

Handheld games are supposed to be like this one. Quick to learn, pickup, play, and shut off. Addictive and fun, you can find this pretty cheap now, one of the top 20 DS games I've played.

Mr. Driller is pretty addicting. I decided to buy this game when I first purchased my Nintendo DS. Game is worth it if you spend no more than $15. Great puzzle game overall.

When I first bought this game about a year ago, I could not stop playing it. At first, it was pretty challenging and hard, but then you naturally get faster and better. My favorite parts of this game is that you can unlock new modes, new stages, and the best of all, unlock characters. This game was so good, I got another one for my birthday.

When I pop this into my Nintendo DS I can pass hours of time...it is a very simple yet challenging game that keeps me occupied for hours. If you are a "puzzle person" and like a challenage, this is the game that you may want to purchase.

I love the game. It is like a Tetris, Dr. Mario and Bejeweled. I love playing the game. It is very addictive and maddening. It is very fast paced.

I bought this as a gift so I haven't played it much, but as a puzzle game it's really addictive and easy to get the hang of. If i was more into puzzle type games I'd definitely pick this up. The person I bought it for can't put it down.
