Mr. Coffee MRX35 12-Cup Coffee Maker

The 12-cup Mr. Coffee Classic Edition was designed by Mr. Coffee for their 35th anniversary in 2007.

I decided to buy this model for two reasons. First, for the many features that make this an outstanding value. Secondly, because it doesn't protrude out onto my counter (smaller depth) and get in the way. Most coffee makers are narrow and extend too far out onto the counter work area. This one is designed to stay out of your way.

Even though it is feature rich and gives me several brewing options, it wasn't complicated to set up and use right out of the box. I didn't even need to read the instruction booklet. Surprisingly simple to operate, great tasting coffee and very little to clean up after brewing.

This is a very good-looking appliance, with brushed stainless steel accents, lighted front electronic control panel and a unique back lighting feature that is very attractive. Nice touch.

I've owned several coffee makers (4 drip, 3 french press, and one that you pour hot water onto and drips directly into mug), and this makes the best coffee out of all of them. The coffee (which I bought at least 2 weeks ago, so it's not even the best quality anymore) has NO bitterness to it. I made a full pot on regular strength and find it almost a little too week (I prefer my coffee not strong) so I'll try the strong setting, but it's still an outstanding pot of coffee. The coffee (which I'm currently drinking my 3rd cup) was made 3 hours ago (according to the handy auto shutoff timer) and has been sitting on the hot plate set on the lowest setting, and it's still some of the best coffee I've had. I will say the really good coffee made with clean, fresh, unchlorinated water is the best you can have, but for a drip coffee maker I don't think you can beat it.
The ambient backlighting is neat, though completely unnecessary. Same with the analog-looking clock. I can still appreciate the techiness of them though. :)
Actually, this coffee maker is full of unnecessary features (mug rack, silicone carafe pad, as well as the ambient light and analog-looking clock, among other things), but they are appreciated non the less. I honestly bought this coffee maker because I though it looked cool, but it was a HUGE bonus that it makes outstanding coffee. Kudos to Mr. Coffee. Hopefully this coffee maker will last longer than my last one (about 8 months of not-very-heavy-at-all use).

This Mr Coffee Maker, as all the Mr Coffee Makers I have owned, inexpensive without the gadgets, expensive with the gadgets makes the best coffee of any coffee maker, no matter what the price or name! No one can beat Mr Coffee's aroma or taste, not even Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. I practiced Nursing for 30 years plus and I have drank my share of coffee. I bought this one for the clock, warmer and the neat way it has of telling you how long the coffee has been sitting there. I have one complaint or disapointment that I have had with all the coffee makers I have owned and it is also the same with this coffee maker. When I go to pour the water into the water reservoir, it goes all over the place no matter how you hold the decanter. I also spill a little when I pour my first cup of coffee. Like I said, it is not exclusive to this coffee maker, any brand I find there is a problem when filling the coffee maker. It seems to be with the lip of the decanters. The last coffee maker I had was a Mr Coffee 12 cup programable COF ISX43 and right now I wish I had that coffee pot again because spillage was minimal.
Except for the above problem discribed, I find this to be a fine coffee pot, it makes a great cup of coffee with ease. You just need a small towel to catch the small amount of water that spills when you fill the water reservoir.

this is a sturdy coffee maker with a built in water filter. the only drawback i have with this coffee maker is the intensity of the clock display. it's way too bright. if they had an adjustable brightness i would rate this coffee maker as excellent but because of the glaring display that actually lights up the entire kitchen in the dark, i have to unplug the system thus eliminating the auto brew capabilities.

This coffee pot has all the bells and whistles. delay coffee timer, warming plate control, night light, lite clock, pause/serve feature, copper coffee basket, cleaning cycle, a 2 hour or 4 hour automatic shut off switch and a alarm to let you know when coffee is done and when the pot is shutting off, you can silence the alarm. It's modern and the black and stainless gives it a sleek and very modern look. It looks great sitting on the counter.

The craff has a adjustable heat setting. The other makers didnt its nice to have a hot cup of coffee not luke warm.

I really like my coffee maker. One of the things I like best is the size it is perfect for under the cabinets.

let me initially state that i love strong coffee.
this is a coffee pot that i use as a spare when i don't want a heavenly cup of strong brewed coffee.
what i like about it is the design. it is square and easily fits into a corner hutch. it has a timer and an easily visible clock with lit background. the coffee is typical even at the strong setting of a standard classic filter system. the warmer never burns the coffee and the timer is able to be set.
what i don't like about it is the humidity drips along the filter basket at the right front and either onto the counter or onto the pot by the burner.
overall i would give it an average to good rating for a standard filter system coffee maker.

I bought this because I liked the way it looked better than anything else I saw for the price (50.00). When I got it plugged in and used the features, like the bright easily read clock, the backlight, alarm, temperature settings, strength of cup settings, filterless (it gives you the option to use one or not )basket I was pleasently surprised. I highly recommend this model, provided you are not looking to invest $150.00 or more into a coffee pot.

First off, the coffee pot is awesome. Esthetically the coffee pot is so well designed. It looks awesome and has a style all its own.

No more filters!!! Awesome. The removable filter basket rocks. If you dont have a water filter, no worries, it has one in it!

The bad part is that it does leak. Not bad, but it leaks water from the front right corner of the machine. Its just a small amount and is no real trouble. There are lots of great options on this machine...

Brew strength. The clock is awesome. Auto Shut off at 2 or 4 hours. We really like this machine so far. Hopefully it holds up. Its worth the right price if you can get it for like $50 bucks.

Service, packaging, and promptness couldn't have been better! I am thrilled! Figured I saved 50% over retail for this coffee maker upon which I couldn't find in stock at any store.

This is a beautiful and fantastic coffee maker. It is loaded with all kinds of great features. It has a built in coffee basket, night light, brew strength button and a very unique clock for setting the auto brew time. I plan on purchasing more for gifts.

Reliability! I have been using the same Mr. Coffee maker for the past 16 years and it still works. It was just time for an upgrade. Nicer looking and more bells and whistles and A lot better coffee maker over all.
But in this day and time it's the bottom line, the price. Retail was A bit high for me. I found it for 1/2 the retail cost and had to have it.
So far I do not have any dislikes about it and would recomend it to anyone who wants A standard 12 cup coffee maker even at retail cost.
So, thanks to EBay and Mr. Coffee I am A happy boy. LOL

The Mr. Coffee MRX35 has a gorgeous retro appearance! A brown coffee maker with stainless steel accents?? Unheard of! which makes it so desireable! It also has all the features one would desire on an automatic coffee maker and at a reasonable price!

However, it leaks water EVERYTIME you make a pot of coffee! Not a tremendous amount, but enough to be annoying. You have to clean up after it after every pot of coffee made. Seriously it doesn't seem like a big deal when you're really in love with the looks, but trust me when I tell you, after a week and the cuteness of it has worn off, the leaking water will be a thorn in your side. And after all whether you spend a $1.00 or $100.00 you don't want a faulty product.

This wasn't something that happened with just my machine.... if you search the internet blogs, you'll see this problem is a complaint with everyone that's had the machine and made a few pots of coffee. Don't go by the people that just opened the box and are delighted with what they're looking at.

That's why a $100 machine is going for $50 or less with FREE SHIPPING... people can't wait to get rid of them! Also the backlight is pretty useless, since it highlights the wiring and who wants to expose that? Other then that it's a pretty decent machine.

But if you choose to buy it anyway and deal with the water problem, lots of luck to you, you have more patients then I do! HA HA! Happiness and Great health to all of you that read this!

I love the coffee pot a lot. Its nice in appearance and I love the water filter build in it. Makes great tasting coffee. I love the clock and its easy to operate.
All around I give the coffee pot a 10 not only for the issues I mentioned but you get a lot for a good price.

This is one of the best coffee makers we have purchased in a long time. It is comparable to the Bunn we got years ago......we just love it. Very easy to set up and brews fast. Love the nightlight on it too!

Love the modern styling of the old yellow/white original Mr. Coffee. I chose the mahogony brown color option to go with newly remodeled kitchen. Love the extra features like back-light, 4 hr. shutoff option, strength choices, mug warmer, and adjustable burner temp. slide guide. What I didn't like about unit is that the basket drips condensation from the front corners. Pouring a cup of coffee incurs spillage from spout--trying to change pouring approach. After 2 months use, I would recommend it.

I bought this coffee Maker for my Mother Christmas 2007 and it is till performing wonderfully. I am considering buying one for my home because I like everything about it. I just discovered a few days ago that the brewing cycle shuts off if you want to pour coffere before it is finished. I'd recommend this brewer over any others I've used before.

First let me say WOW! I received this WAY QUICKER the I had thought. This was my first purchase EVER on E bay and I am so pleased and my hubby is also with the coffee maker.
