Mr. Coffee ECM21 Espresso Machine & Coffee Maker

I spotted this particular coffee machine on the Mr. Coffee website while looking for a replacement espresso machine, however, at $80 I felt that it was out of my price rangem so I decided to search eBay for one and promptly found a good priced one and once it arrived I made an esspresso and a pot of coffee. I was impressed with the speed that it made the espresso, and I was further impressed by the "strength" setting that specifies the brewing time of the coffee (the stronger the longer) I was disapointed that it lacks a clock that lets it brew coffee\espresso at a certain time, but the other features make up for it. Forexample, I was delighted that I can take off the water resivour and fill it in the sink and 'drop' it back into the machine. But another gripe I have is with that after the machine is on for a while (coffee side) condensation builds up and water droplets leak out of the large lid and onto the counter and the heating plate. Not a big deal really, just an anoyance.

I think it was a great buy and I would recomend it to anyone wanting a coffee machine and an espresso machine if they have limited funds or space.

I like this is very compact and lightweight. All you need in just one machine.

Perfect for the family and when you have visitors.

I have not received this product. It has taken more than four weeks and appears that I will never received it.

It does everything that it is supposed to and all for a fraction of the price of similar products. Definitely worth every penny!!!

It makes great coffee, but a little slow. It makes espresso, but not like the professional units. It does not get enough steam pressure to force the steam through the grounds. It looks cool. The removable water container for making coffee is very nice. The coffee craft is pore. The problem is the lid. When you attempt to poor at a normal speed it leeks around the lid an onto the table. Your only choice is to poor really slowly, or to raise the lid and poor a bit faster, but still not as fast as you would like. Overall, good unit, but not worth the hassle.

The price was great compared to other combination makers. The problem is the quality of the pot. It leaks unless you are very careful to open the lid when pouring. Basically, there is a design flaw.
