Mr. Baseball (DVD, 2003)

Got this for My Husband at his request....He loved it, but I didn't get any good vibes from it...Baseball star, funny moments sometimes, but not one I would care to sit through again...Guess it was a Mans thing...or a Baseball fans thing...Not me.

This movie is hilarious. Tom Selleck isn't hitting the way he use to and was sent to Japan to play. Over there he's learning a different culture and with his attitude, it's getting in the way of several things. He meets a nice woman and all he truly cares about is getting back to the United States to play baseball. During the whole movie he gets tired of getting yelled at in Japanese and in the middle of the movie there's a nice twist. Its a great movie to watch especially if you love baseball movies.

Still have not recieved it. Im sure its not any fault of the sellers but of the military mail service. Mail is the most difficult issue in the military. It all depends on the base it is sent to and how fast they get the mail out. And they tend to lose things.

I hadn't seen this movie in years. Not since it came out in the theater.
I bought for my Teen son, who is going to Japan next year.

I like Tom Selleck Movies and I enjoyed this one very much. I like Baseball a lot too. This one was real cute and good.

It's was Fun one,but yet it hit home about what some players go through between leagues.And to adjust to the Japanese,and Americans way of life,also the languages.Just to get one more chance.

This is a great Tom Selleck movie. It's one of those sports movies that even a non sport person would enjoy. I know my wife did.

I love the fact that it was convienent to buy over the internet. It was nicely packaged and I recieved the DVD in a quick and timely fashion. I was not happy with wide-screen version and I should have paid more attention to that feature before I made the purchase. Other than that, the movie speaks for itself and I was content with the quality of the picture. I bought the DVD as a gift for a close family member. Hopefully this was of help to you.

THIS IS ONE OF TOM SELLICK'S BEST AND FUNNY MOVIES ALWAYS LIKE TOM AND HIS MOVIES. THE STORY IS GREAT AND THE MOVIE IS WELL MADE IT IS ONE OF THE BETTER BASEBALL MOVIES MADE. THIS IS ANOTHER MOVIE THAT I LOVED WATCHING BACK IN THE DAY.

I really enjoyed watching Tom Selleck make a total ass out of himself in Japan! Total gaijin ignorance and prejudice. "I don't eat bait" Where have I heard THAT before? Tom Selleck did a wonderful job on this film, and the complete picture (as opposed to the film) that comes across is beautifully done.

The arrogant American is going to show the Japanese 'how it's done'. Well, he does. But in the process, I think that the Japanese also show him the same thing. The end gestalt is what is great when you have a true blending of ideas, and the actors and script and the finished product put it across perfectly. The entire concept is a touch trite, true, but the movie is a joy to watch, and you'll laugh yourself silly.

Wonderful feel good movie with great humor. Tom Selleck at his best as an actor. I bought this as a gift for my wife.
