Album Notes Performers: Chris "Cage" Palko, Copywrite, Mr. Eon (rap vocals); Clare (vocals); Free (various instruments); Verve Isaacs (bass); Riz (DJ). Producers include: DJ Mighty, Camu Tao, Rush, The Ghetto Pros, J-Zone. Audio Mixer: Kieran Walsh. Recording information: Muth F*ckin' Spot, Lexington. Rap upstart Cage is a member of the notoriously nasty hip-hop trio known as the Smut Peddlers, but even that group's ultra-skanky attitude seems like a stroll through Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood when compared with Cage's solo work. There's been a well-publicized rivalry in the hip-hop underground between Cage and Eminem over who's the premier sociopathic Caucasian MC. If you want authentic psycho scenarios, though, Cage is undoubtedly your man. Unlike Eminem, who simply acts crazy, Cage is truly messed up in the head, having allegedly spent time in a mental institution (which he raps about here). This is some of the most unrepentantly misanthropic, downright dangerous-sounding stuff you'll come across. Even Onyx probably crosses to the other side when they see this guy coming down the street. MOVIES FOR THE BLIND is definitely not for the faint-hearted, but fans of Eminem should definitely be intrigued.
