It wasn't nearly as cool as I thought it would be. It uses MODERN tools and store bought items to create mountainman crafts, clothing etc. I had expected it would use tools, dyes and materials all found in the wilderness and made by hand. It was a letdown for me.

) I guess if you liek building things this book is for you..I thought it was gonna be how to use a hatchet, how to build a lean to, how to make jerky....It does have some cool crafts though...I am gonna give this book to my friend who is going mountain man on me..He hunts rabbits and makes rabbit stew...The book is sorta old but the crafts are still valid..I don't think the recipe/procedure for making leather has changed much in a couple hundred years..
