
Slow Responding, Drops Calls, Poor Software

I have the phone for 18 months and do not recommend it.
Cingular has thousands of bad version of the quad band Motorola v551 floating around. The former AT&T Wireless v551s work fine on the network, but Cingular keeps handing out these v551s with poor reception. They are not allowed to tell customers becasue it would cost the company heavily, one upper management officer said.
It does not ring while charging, drops calls from time to time, and has a poor reception. Cingular replaced it, but the problems still persisted (another bad version).
Pressing keys has slow response time (It might take a few seconds for the phone to respond after pressing a button!).
Again, I had multiple other phones in the past and this is far from the best. Has camera phone, games, text messaging, and international calling capabilities, but it is unresponsive and drops those calls.
Overall, I am pleased with Cingular's service and have other cell phone models that work well.
