Motorola V220 (AT&T)

I have had many cell phones and many different services. When I switched to Cingular back in Feb. of 2005 I got this Motorola V220 phone because of it's specifications. (As a side note, this phone has since been discontinued)
Motorola boasted of features such as:

-Built-in tri band VGA camera with 4x zoom
-Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) for sending pictures, animations, wallpaper, icons and ring tones
-Motomixer application to mix unique ringtones to play on the 24-chord polyphonic speaker
-Instant messaging for talking to friends and family in real-time
-Datebook and Phonebook synchronization to easily organize life
-J2ME MIDP 2.0 support for application, ringer, wallpaper, graphic and game downloads
-WAP 2.0 compliant browser with GPRS Class 10 for high-speed data transmission

I also was intrigued by their boasting of the battery life, which they say is 5.33 hours and the GSM network of GSM 850 / 1800 / 1900.

I have been very impressed with all of the features except for a few:

- The battery talk time is not 5.33 and truthfully, out of our household of 4 cell phones, mine is the worst one and needs to be charged every night whether I use it or not.
- The camera has broke not once but twice on me. 1 time I was in a car wreck and the phone hit the floor busting the camera. Cingular was nice enough to send me a replacement of the same exact phone and then I accidentally dropped it and the camera broke on the new one too.
- It is very easy to hang up on a phone call if you accidentally press one of the volume buttons that is on the side of the phone. I have done this numerous times.

Other than the above mentioned items, I have found this phone to be very ok, but I'm not into all the fancy things on a phone I want the battery to last a long time and I want to get a good signal.

I get a signal almost anywhere, the sound is clear, I like the easy to use silent, vibrate and ring functions on the side of the phone, I have downloaded some very nice mp3 ring tones, it's easy to email from the phone.

After two of the camera's breaking on me though I do not think that I would get this phone again.

I don't like lots of gadgets with my phones. I work outside and often get very dirty. I've dropped this phone from a second story staircase as well as numerous other times from normal heights. It works great, it's simple and striaght forward, and I also find the interface to be convenient and easy to use. The only problem I have had, and this is with two of the V220s that I've had, is that after about two years of use, something shorts in the hinge so that when I make a call, the person I call can hear me, but I can't hear them. For awhile I had to use speaker phone all the time--annoying, but two years is pretty good considering how rough I am with my phones. The battery life is fantastic! I leave it on 24/7, and I usually charge it about once every three days. If you like a simple, durable phone, this is it.

Exactly as described. Works fine. The phone has all the functions as described.
It included charger as well.

Communication was good and they let me know when they were sending the phone and the phone received was as described.

The phone stopped working a week after I got it. Never going to buy a used phone again. The speaker on the phone would not allow me to hear the people that called me.

This was a gift for my fathers birthday. he is not into the whole internet, texting... he just needed a regular phone to make calls with. he had an older model of this phone and just from having it in his pocket over the course of 5 years, he wore it out. all you could here was static when he talked. So he absolutly loves his phone!!!! it is very clear with the phone calls, and it has a camera so he his learning to take pictures. the pictures come out good. there is nothing fancy about this phone. but if you are looking for a pratical phone that can make a phone call (it also has texting and camera) than this would be a great buy.

THE CELL PHONE WORKS OKAY. THE PHONE WAS SCRATCHED ON THE FRONT AND THE CAMERA DOES NOT WORK VERY WELL. IT LOOKED DIFFERENT THAN THE ONE WE BID ON. THE PHONE WAS SHIPPED ON TIME. IT DID COME WITH ALL CHARGERS.

the product was well advertised and also it was unlocked. i bought this phone because one of my friend asked for this particular phone.even though there were few scrathes on the phone, it was good.

I was looking for a basic phone that was functioning and that is exactly what i got. Was exactly as described and worked properly. We need honest people selling on Ebay and that is what you get with this person. Great job!

Purchased Motorola V220 camera phone so easy to use would recommend it to anyone who wants a dependable phone that is easy to use.

i liked having a phone after mine broke, so i got this one. Then it broke and got stolen. So i did enjoy the week i had it.

When I received phone it was in really bad shape from the seller, the camera was not working, and it was in poor condition; for a gently used phone. I sent it back and the seller told me it was under warranty, and he could send me a new one. Well that never happened. I sent seller about 7 emails to find out what is going on, and still haven't heared back. I think ebay should screen seller for fraud selling. Because now I'am out $51.00 dollars. Come january I will cancel doing bussiness with Ebay, and go to Amazon.com Also paypal was no help with this claim. Antonio Montes Sr.

I am not very happy with the appearance of this phone. THe phone works great and it will serve greatly as a back up phone. I can admit that i did not fully read the description of the phone when i bid on it. But the phone works good just like the seller said.

I purchased the V220 as a replacement for a Nokia 6103 because the features were similar to the Nokia. However, it did not perform as expected. It froze up during texting and the battery life was extremely short. I was aware it was used, but didn't expect it to be abused. It was in worse shape than the phone it replaced. I then purchased a used Nokia from another eBayer, and am much more satisfied with the operation and condition of the phone.

I made the purchase to replace a phone that had been stolen. I checked the ratings on this seller and it looked ok, but I was disapointed. I did not like how long it took to receive the item. It took 2 weeks for me to get someting I needed right away. ( I was without a phone this whole time ) Then when I did get the phone I was very disapointed in the condtion of it. I know that I was looking for a refurbished used phone, but this was in pretty bad condtion. It was all beat up and scratched up. It looked like it had been through a lot!! The only good thing that I can say is that it at least works. I would never buy from this seller again. I feel like I was cheated for how much I spent. I will continue to use ebay, but will be more thourough in checking out the sellers.

It was a perfectly good gift for a friend who wanted it. So far she is happy with it. Though it was used, it was in perfect condition.

I purchased this phone as a replacement. I had one previously and purchased my current one to replace a phone that was more advanced technologically. The phone is fine and does its job, but difficult to go "backwards".

I liked this phone it takes great pitures and works very well and was easy to work with my sim card.

Bought this phone to replace my 12 year-old's Nokia that he sent through the wash. Very affordable on EBay.
