Motorola V195 (Unlocked)

I have been using the v195 for about 2 weeks now. It was made for T-Mobile but I bought it and unlocked it. It is a basic flip phone. Has Bluetooth but no camera. The sound quality was very good but I did notice some static at times. I have AT&T as my carrier. It has the basic moto navigation set up. Keys are raised and easy to use. Even with people with large hands like myself. This is a GSM quad phone, meaning it works on 850/900/1800/1900 world wide. 850 is USA, 900 is Europe/Asia, 1800 is Europe, 1900 is USA. The talk time is excellent and the standby is even better. Has all your basic features like IM's, SMS, MMS, speaker phone, etc. It has a solid feel and nice build quality. Large fonts for easy reading and a nice screen. The one thing I did notice is I get more bars in places I couldn't even get bars, excellent reception! Don't have to listen carefully, this phone is loud. Does MP3 ringtones and has a picture caller ID on the internal screen.

This is a very nice basic cell phone. For the money, you can't go wrong. Grab a USB cable and you can really customize the phone too! All around good buy.

This is a nice straightforward inexpensive flip phone with Bluetooth. Sound quality and reception are good. There are two versions of this phone, the base V195 and the V195s (T-mobile). The base model does not support MyFaves, but the "s" model does. The only real drawback I've found is the limit on voice dial storage to 5 numbers.
I picked out the "s" version for myself and my mother. My mother loves it because it is simple (she nearing retirement and not happy with "fancy" technology) and easy to use.
If your looking for a good simple phone, this is a great option. If you want games, music, internet, or other features, look elsewhere.

I bought this phone b/c it was cheap and was blue tooth capable. All in all, this phone has a long battery life, memory, and it works well in my apt. I broke my last phone, a razor, and so I decided to buy this one b/c I am sure it won't be the last phone I break!! I get better reception with this phone than my old razor, which would not work in my apt at all. A down side is that it has no camera, but friends can still send you pics and you can use them as your wallpaper. Its good enough for me!!

In a market full of over-featured cell phones, here is one that is about right.
The keys are easy to find and press, calls are clear, and the bluetooth works.
I bought this phone to tether to a Nokia 770 for internet browsing when a wifi signal is not available. It is a good quality dependable cell phone that is small enough to stow behind the 770 in a case.
It is also a good phone to take when riding a bike, working, or traveling. It's not too expensive if it's lost and it is not fragile like an iPhone or other glass and plastic phones.

Just back from overseas trip. Phone worked perfectly. Good reception/sound quality. Battery held charge very well. Overall, very satisfied.

I wanted a durable cell phone which did not pretend to be a AV department. Gee; I can read the numbers and not have to deal with so many bells and whistles. I use it all the time as a Hospice Visiting Nurse. A salesman at T-Mobile recommended it, but said, "Unfortunately, we no longer carry that phone." He recommended I try e-Bay and there it was. I like the phone and the speaker aspect is very loud if desired. T-Mobile should go back to carrying this phone.

i still have not received this cell phone. i dont know what to do.i e-mailed customer service and have not heared any thing from them yet.and even the seller did not contacted to tell me any thing.
I NEVER RECEIVED THIS PHONE AND NOT EVEN MY MONEY BACK. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.....

It is a phone that can handle a little drop. It doesn't have decent ring tone capability. It doesn't switch towers well. The phone book really sucks, you can only put in one letter so you have to thumb through all the listings. sound quality is not great. Not really happy with the phone feature-wise, but it is atleast still working after me using it that says something for it!

phone worked great-has good ring tones and long battery life-it has good display, all buttons worked -very surprised how long battery last. screen very clear. ring tone good and loud . make excellent back up phone -bought me another one -it's on the way- this is a good basic phone

Used the phone for a couple of weeks. Works as advertised. Nice simple phone for unsophisticated folks, who use it mostly for lots of talking. Sturdy, good battery life. Simple and comfortable. The sticker on keyboard started to peel off. Otherwise no problems.

this is the second motorola v195 that i have. the first one i had it for like 3 years and is nothing wrong with it but you can tell that i had it for 3 years.beaside the fact that is a very tough phone it worked very well oversees in europe and i been every where in europe. is a kind of old lookig cellphone but i would recomended to everyone

I love it. This is the only cell phone i have ever had. It is small. I can close the palm of my hand with it. It has all the features i need. It consistently performs well. The first one i swam in the Atlantic ocean with it and my brother got the great idea to put it in the oven to dry. I turned the oven on the 475 because pizza can not cook at 150. The second one my granddaughter put it in the trash probably like she does my can goods and other stuff from the pantry. Don't tell the little ones to put things in the trash and then cheer them on....get it?

Inexpensive phone for the features, and easy to use .

I thought it was supposed to be new but it wasn't. The "scroll down" function on the phone is not working properly. I think the phone is refurbished. Unfortunately this is my favorite model so I will continue searching for a brand new one.

The battery life and reception appear to be very good. Compared to more recent cellphones, this one is more basic, with older style rings, and some graphics limitations. However, if you are looking for a reliable phone with good battery life, this appears to be a good pick.

If all you are looking for in a Cell Phone is Basic Functions (as I was) this is the Phone for you. Rugged, Durable, made to last...Great Sound quality, excellent screen. Enjoy solid features . I've owned this phone before and got used to it. It's easy to use, and very dependable. I used to throw this phone when angry and it stood up to the abuse. It took me 2 years to ruin it... No phone I've ever had has made it past six months.

Phone came quickly and was packed nicely for a reasonable fee. Works awesomely. Harder to find a reasonably priced quad band phone. This one is well worth the price~
