Motorola V190 (Unlocked)

Love the v190. If you are looking for a phone for the sole purpose of making and receiving calls, this is a great phone. I go to southeast asia all the time and have taken a v190 each time I've went there. I've bought phones over there before and phones over there have notoriously bad quality. I read a few reviews on the v190 and decided to buy one to use over there. The phone worked great. The reception on the phone is superb compare to other phones and since there isn't as many cell phone towers in southeast asia as in the US the v190 did me well. It got reception when other phones didn't. My friend had a nokia 5300 that I bought in the US for him and I would have reception where he didn't have none at all. Quality is good...dropped a few times and still works. Voice quality is good, not the best as in new phones being used in the states but what do you expect from a basic phone like this. Ended up giving my phone away to friends everytime I came back to the US because they liked it so much. Four phones so far that I've given away and all four phones still works good. If your looking for a basic phone just for making and receiving calls, I don't think you'll find anything better.

i dont like having to relearn how to use a phone every year. i need the phone not the internet, camera, video etc.... i use it as a phone and text. i reorder this phone time after time. i use the headset option as i use it to work with and driving. great sound. the buttons are easy to feel , so you dont have to worry about touching like the touch screen products . only bad thing is you cant permanatly save message, and memory for text isnt that high. no necessry for me but it is for some.

This is a good phone to have when the primary phone has stopped working. It works great but doesnt have all the extra's the new phones have come out with. Good value for the money. It does what you want it to do, calls and recieves calls, and stores your numbers.

I bought the Phone Motorola three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 2 hours. My only complaint is that the menu system on the phone makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.As promiced phone was 4 band unlocked

The phone that we purchased was not working fine as described. When we got overseas, we found out that we couldn't hear anything except if the phone was on speaker. I did contact the seller and inform him, he suggested resetting the phone but it still did not work and he still has not refunded the purchase.

I have bid on this phone from a seller to replace my current v-190. It has been a great phone. I have been through two new phones and have hated them and have each time gone back to my old scratched up dropped 500 times v-190. The phone is ugly now, nearly worn out because of hard use but it still works and what I love about it is that the ringtones are louder than some of the newer phones, the screen on the face is easy to read and see if you have missed a call or have a voice mail or text message. I have reception where most people do not. It overall is a damned good phone and I want to buy a good refurbished or used one to replace my phone that is wearing out after 3-4 years minimum of use. Not sure how long I have had it. Just know that it is easy to use, clear as a bell and probably the best phone I have ever had.

The only thing I did not like, the charger was bad. But that's ok with me, because I have a phone just like it, with a charger. That's the ONLY thing I can think of. The phone looks brand new and it's in good shape. It is in better shape than mine phone, and my grandmother gave me that phone. She is 79 years old. The price is what made me buy it, $20.00. The only thing it is missing is the box the phone came in from the factory. So we is the box? I am only kidding, Thank-you. Paul

I needed a phone for International travel that can accept all GSM frequencies, here in the US and abroad. This phone is lightweight, easy enough to carry in pocket or purse. Already owning a Motorola phone and being familiar with many different models, I found this one easy enough to use, with the usual "going through back doors to get to the front", as common with Motorola phones in general. The battery life is excellent, approx 3 hrs, even on a used phone, considering it is not an extend life battery. SIM cards are easy enough to place and replace as needed. This version is not a camera phone nor is it equipped or designed for transmitting and receiving data, with the exception of text messages. I did not need a phone for these purposes. If one needs a simple phone for voice communication, especially when traveling overseas, this model is an excellent choice. I would highly recommend this for that purpose.

Am off contract with a company that AT&T bought out. AT&T wanted me to upgrade and pay more for service when I dipped my Motorola V190 in the river and it died. Looked at all of the upgrade phones and the plans. More cost was not for me. Replaced the V190 and transferred the SIM card to resume business as usual.
The V190 may be a bit harder to read as far as contrast than some of the new phones but it is not so bad that I will pay the cost of an up grade. It is small but not so small that I lose it and on the other hand not so big that it is like carrying a house phone around with me.
I don't text or subscribe to Internet access so I have both features disabled. Just need a phone to talk on with business associates and so that family can find me.
The V190 works great for communication and stands the bumps and bangs of everyday use. Also the price is the best part. Cost is way below all of the new phones that are being built. Just don't drop it in the water!

Love the thickness, not like those thin ones that my fingers don't get along with. Love the basic things it has. Love the brightness of the dial and love the fact that it has a basic ring.... No need for the music only rings. The only thing I miss is the camera, but I will gladly give it up for the size of this phone. I will try to get another just like this when I need one.
