Motorola V170 (AT&T)

I got this phone a few months ago when I needed a phone for a limited amount of work use. Cheap phone is an understatement. The battery has to be charged daily and will typically only a hold a charge for eight to ten hours. The phone will make calls and allows text messaging,provided that you are close enough to a cell tower that accepts the service. If you want to give your kids a cheap phone that won't break the bank, then this is it. If you want a phone that works more than 60% of the time and will last a typical work day, then avoid this phone.

I really liked this phone, but unfortunately I didn't get to use it much. It is a small size, fits comfortably in your pocket or hand, and the display is nice. It was one of the two recommended phones for my area so I know I purchased the "right" one from the company (I used their website to enter my zipcode to search for the right phone).

However, I found that after I bought it, it worked sporadically. The reception was so poor that it got "no signal" much of the time (we live down low near the river and there is a big hill behind us) and so I couldn't use the phone at all! The few times it worked, I liked it, but I really didn't get a chance to use it much; we are assuming the problem is because of where we live.

I bought the phone for someone with limited skills who needed a very simple and basic phone. I has served this purpose well.

I bought this phone as a replacement. It serves it's purpose. But the quality of the service you get on the phone dictates the quality of the of the conversation. There are a few hearing discreptancies but overall the phone works well.

This phone is unacceptable. The technology is very outdated. The screen is small; the font is large and primitive. The only way to know if you have a message is to flip open the phone, and then there is no way to distinguish between a text or voice message because the envelope icon stands for both. When texting, only three words can be seen at a time. There is no quick way to silence the phone or turn it to vibrate. And, the battery doesn’t hold a charge. I purchased the Motorola V170 because it was inexpensive and I thought my needs were pretty basic, but in the end it cost me return postage and a couple of weeks of aggravation. Even for the most basic of needs, this phone fell way short of my expectations. I ended up spending $10 more and got the Samsung Flip C417; I am much happier with its full-color screen and up-to-date features.

Notification of the order was handled on time as was told. I am waiting for delivery time.the price was excellent plus no shipping charge that make it more attractive to a buyer and to the price

Very low end technology. Found a better phone that actually had features.
This one had none. Found one for less money and the features I wanted @ Best Buy. Fellow buyers remember, just because its on EBay doesn't mean its the best deal.
