Motorola T730 (Verizon Wireless)

I'm not sure what on earth the people who broke this phone so easily and said it doesn't keep charge are doing with their phone. I've had mine ever since the model came out. I finally did break it after probably the 400th drop on concrete. Even in its pitiful, broken state (two pieces hanging by the data cable) it will still make and receive a call. I got married and my husband (carpenter) and I got a share plan, and he got a brand new spiffy phone with stupid bells and whistles with poor signal. It crashed after a couple months, he's a carpenter and it has a rough life. I bought him a 730 like mine on ebay that's working great and carries full signal. I must confess, I have bought one new battery for my phone (this year). We talk everyday at lunch and I charge mine roughly every three days. I just don't think people know how to use a cell phone if they think this is a poor choice. I'm not twelve, and I think the idea of having a camera and music on your phone is immensely stupid. I think that turns some people off to the 730, but I prefer to use photography equipment to take photographs with and a stereo to listen to music.

Very durable phone with great sound quality. I broke my first one by dropping it to many times from over 15ft I think it was 25ft that killed it.Then I invested in a good phone case. The next one ,i had got it wet but just let it dry on defrost vent it started working again until I dropped in toilet. My last one I still have and love

I am in the cell phone business and have been for a long time, this phone was one of Motorola's best. I really think that in the Razr Magenta Pink, it looks better than the Razr and you can get it at half the price. Search for it under "T730 Magenta" there should be a few for sale and see if you agree.

This phone replaced the Motorola T720c and improved some of the issues with that phone. It's menu navigation doesn't lag and it has better battery life. You should get one with a new battery, this phone has a large color screen and can drain old batteries.

It has Large Lit keys which makes it easy to operate for people with big fingers, and to see them at night. The whole key pad lights up, not just the numbers and letters.

The Screen is very large and it is easy to see the number you dialed displayed on the screen.

Motorola is known for great reception and this phone has excellent reception.

The only down side is there is no camera built in, otherwise, I really like the style of this phone, especially in Magenta.

This phone won't jump up and do the jig and lacks a camera, BUT it is a very serviceable phone with clarity on incoming and outgoing signals. I've had no major problems with it at all, and if you aren't blinded by lots of essentially useless bells and whistles offered by more 'modern' cell phones, then this one gets my recommendation. Some people are problem-oriented and see nothing but problems and like to complain whereas others happily take a positive perspective and purchase only as much technology as necessary. This phone has a few bells and whistles that I frankly never used, but as a necessary element for my business, it functions great.

I had the 720 and had good luck with it then it broke and verizon switched me to a 730 I have used it for years and it has been a wonderful phone. Very pleased with it.

Not one of Motorola's best, I am a Motorola fan, and I go through 100's of phones a week, I run a refurbishing company. The phone itself is pretty good, holds a good signal on Verizon, Alttel, and the other networks, the GSM Cingular version seems to work good also. LCD could of been better, poor color, drop it its trash, hinge will crack if you look at it. Real easy to change face plates and not hard to make repairs when it does break. I did carry on for awhile a couple years back, I never had any trouble out of mine, but I do repair phones so I handle them with more care than others might.

This phone was a great phone when it was put out and it still is a great phone. There are some people who want music and the internet and the camera and all that on there phone but for those of us who remember what a phone was first used for will appreciate this phone. The signal is great and the battery life is really good. You just have to make sure you charge it when it doesnt have battery! Not when its full that just wears it out. Those of you who have problems with your phones thats why. The volume on this phone is good and made better with ear buds. The on screen shortcuts are helpful but for those of you who are insistant on looking at pictures of cars you cant own or woman and guys you cant meet. Then it obviously isnt that good for you. This is a phones phone. It does what its suppose to and with style. The changeable faceplates make customizing a breeze! I really cant think of any downside for me. If you need all those fancy things then i suppose there would be a problem for you though.

We are very happy with the phone and service. My daughter needed a new Verizon phone but we didn't want to renew our contract. We got a great phone for a small price without renewing our Verizon contract. Very pleased.

Reasonably usable phone. Don't drop it on concrete or into the commode. The use you get out of it will reflect the care you give it.

This is a totally suitable phone with a few quirks. The feature I miss the most is that it does not have an alarm clock. It has a datebook where you can set an alert for an event which will work as an alarm, but it's so complicated that it destroys the simplicity of using a cell phone for an alarm. The feature I like the best is the speaker phone, which my old phone did not have. I can set it on the counter and talk as I work. This is a basic phone, black and white, no camera, but it's totally usable. I bought it to replace my Samsung which fell apart 4 months before my upgrade time, so it is a good, cheap substitute to use while I wait to be able to upgrade. I appreciated buying it from this seller because he checks the phone to make sure it's clear (not stolen, etc) for you so you don't have to make the call to the service provider.

I love the features this little phone has, I liked it so good I bought a extra one for my son,download times are fast and ringtones sound great! love all the faceplates available for it and changing them is a snap

The above review said that after awhile the phone wouldn't take a <B>good</b> charge,if you follow the directions on how to charge the phone you'll learn to extend battery life.Also if you use the car charger everytime you are using the phone in the car you will surely kill the battery faster than anything.
Bottom line is always buy two batteries and <b> do not charge them until they are totally dead!

This phone isn't the greatest thing on the market. The battery life a less than stellar, the hinges are thin and weak. Definately not fantastic deal. Myself and my husband both owned this one and we both ended up having problems with it. Two insurance claims for pretty much the same reason. The hinges broke.The charge port is pathetic at best, you must keep them clean if you want a decent charge. And after a while your phone will go dead just after a call or two.

Good phone. Got it 2 years ago from my son (used). Easy to use. Good reception, and battery life is fine. With typicaly use, I charge it every 2-3 days. I'm considering getting another one just like it.

This is an entry level phone and is clearly lacking quality. everything about this phone is "cheesey". If you can foot the extra couple of dollars get a phone thats better designed and "feels" like a better product

We got the phone sailed and in a parcel in excellent shape. Nevertheless the display was broken and the battery can not keep energy for even 5 minutes. Since we got it used I cannot tell whether you could keep it in better codition...

We bought this phone and now the battery dies very quickly. We expected better quality for being "brand new."

Seller delievered as advertised. Did have one small problem with a feature on the phone, but the seller was quick and very proactive to correct the situation without delay or additional charges. I purchased this phone from EBay because of their reputation and quick delivery features I can not recieve from a Verizon dealer at a reasonable cost. I will buy future phones for my office via EBay instead of a Name Dealer. I will do buisness with this seller again in the future.

I owned the same cell phone(s) previously and was purchasing this as a replacement phone for my daughter because it was cheap and hers had dropped in a toilet. These particular phones do not hold much of a charge and are not very user friendly requiring a good couple hours reading the thick manual that usually comes with it. It was a good replacement(punishment...hahahaha) phone teaching her to appreciate the one she had with all its bells-n-whistles! Mind you, the hinges on these things break very easily and are seriously exposed externally, I have had two of em break on myself. As I said, good punishment phone. :) *This was a garage sale find that a seller had posted and it turned out to not work at all, receives no signals even with hour long help from Verizon. Im still a satisfied customer as far as transaction goes, but...if you are reading this review...buyer beware. Back up phone for sure, everyday useage would just be too much to ask of it.

This phone was terrible. Just like last reviewer stated. It stopped charging right away, would not keep a charge. It is a plastic cover and I think it looks terribly cheap. Bought it as a basic phone for son. Won't do it again.

bought telephone to replace lost phone, it failed to performe from day one.
had it checked by verizon dealer and was told my so called new phone was 3 to 4 years old and could not be repaired after they cleaned the batteryconnections.therefore i purchased a new phone from the Verizon dealer,since I need somethind reliable.I was very dissapointed,feel like I was taken for a ride and I will never purchase anything from E-bay again.
