Motorola T720 (AT&T)

The Motorola T720 series (depends on the carrier) is like many Motorola phones - revolutionary. The T720 / T720i was really the first uber-popular phone to do much of what is now common - text message, internet browse, color / animated screen, voice recognition, good ring tones, etc etc. But like the startac - once everyone else caught up, the T720 / T720i quickly became antiquated if you will. Just a couple years later, the phone appears a tad bulky and doesn't have some of the hippest features (ie an internal camera - though there an attachment camera). They are available at great prices on eBay - so if price is a factor for you, this is a winner. But here are my pros and cons:

pros:
* Completely customizable - cases, anetennas, etc. The T720 / T720i can be personalized unlike any other phone. This is a sweet plus!
* Great prices available on eBay
* All of the necessary phone capabilities
* Motorola's classic interface

cons:
* Major Con: If you talk enough, the clamshell / flip-phone will break! The hinge is very weak and twice gave out on me. Now I didn't treat it overly well, but be warned!
* A tad bulky by today's measures
* Collects lint farely well

In general - its no longer the hippest phone. But the T720 / T720i is a certainly capable.

these phones worked great andthe seller was very helpful in my book he has a A++++++++ rating will definetely buy from him again i bought this phone because i needed a flip phone

It's cheap but the phone doesn't have a lock button for the volume controls so if it is in your pocket, you will always accidentally hit the volume controls. Also, it has more connection problems than my old, reliable phone. It's good for just a basic phone but after than that I think it's better to spend a little more money for a better phone.

I bought this phone for my husband for his birthday because he has had several of the Motorola T720 phones and loves them and will not use anything but that phone. He like the layout of the phone, the weight of the phone and that it gets good service. He doesn't not want anything special like carmera, bluetooth or any other special features so this has been the perfect phone for him.

i got exactly what i paid for. fast shipping, decent phone in good condition, reasonable price. have had no problems.

Seller did not let anyone no that the phone did not have a place for a sim card for 1st time ebay buyer that would have been helpful other that that the sell went very well . It was ship out in a very reasonable amount of time.

I am very happy with my perchase. It was a good price and I received it fast.My teenagers ruin cell phones all the time,and this is a good way to get a phone without spending alot of money.

the phone was a great buy , the price was right with they quality of the phone i loved it!. my wife was looking for altell cell phone that was reasonable in price and quality, and we were both happy with the one we purchase from ebay.

This phone is 5 years old, and is nothing like a razor no matter what color you spray paint it. The biggest problem with these is the charging port, which breaks out very easily.

Motorola are the best phones made today the T720 has a lot of extras such chating with friend and checking your mail and ebay items on the go without sitting in front of your computer now there are phone out there are made small and just like that it's lost! with this phone there's nothing to worry about Plus you can get flashing batt. download ring tones screen savers (In Color) or whatever you want Its endless... This Phone Is EXCELLENT 5 STARS!!

i got my phones fast...but it didnt work. the phone is compatible w/ verizon, but this particular one had some kind of block on it so i couldnt activate it. waste of my money!

I have had mine since first release a few years back. It's been reasonably rugged, but the battery cover has just lost its tabs and so must be replaced.

This phone was a great disappointment. I thought that it would be a replacement phone for me but just ended up being a headache. The signal goes out as soon as you try to make a call. I sent it back to the seller and got another phone like it and it did the same thing. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PHONE TO ANYONE. I live least than 2 miles from 2 cellphone towers and it still will not work!!!!! TOTAL JUNK!!!!!!!

I get horrible service with this phone. It cuts out a lot, I miss calls, or it goes straight to my voicemail. I cannot get through five minutes without this phone cutting out. Then again, my cingular service is less than expected lately. I do not recommend it!

I was charged twice for one item and no one is writing me back. Not even the seller. I have e-mailed both ebay and the seller.

maybe it is just me, but the technology, I am told by Verizon, does not work anymore, it is antiquated. I can not download tones, there is no adapter for the pda part. It is just a pink old phone as far as I am concerned.

Used to replace my old phone, same model, very good, dependable, basic
as compared to newer phones.Good battery life. Easy to use.

I wanted a new phone without having to do all that contract stuff. The phone was in good condition and came in a very timely manner.

I sent this seller a money order a few weeks ago and i never received the phone. I dont know how to get my money back now!! I always buy from ebay and this is my first bad experience.. i'll be more careful next time!

The phone works great. It have lasted throught out my kids throwing it and trying to eat it lol. Kid will be kids. I love the phone thanks so much for shipping it to me. There was a little problem that they forgot to get the battery in the shipping but they shipped it as soon as i let them know. I would so buy from them again.

Although it was purchased for an 11 year old, I wanted her to have a nice phone. It is a nice phone, but there is a short in the light on the front cover so it flashes, and never stops. That is the only thing that I am not real happy about, BUT I did purchase the 3 year warranty..so I will have it fixed.

Good phone, good clarity in voice.
The biggest problem is the hinges do not stand up, I have 2 T720 I use the phone 3-4 times a day and both phones cracked at the hinge after about a year of use.

I bought this particular phone as a replacement. The price was right, the shipping was GREAT, and it suited our needs for a reasonably priced replacement phone. The phone works well but my only complaint is that the on/off buttons are opposite of that of our other cell phones and takes a bit getting used to. Other than that it was a great transaction.
