    I had an old Surfboard modem and was only getting 4 Mbps download speeds, and < 300 Kbps upload, while Comcast was advertising up to 10+ Mbps down, and guys I worked with were getting 24-26 Mbps. I purchased and hooked this modem up, ran a speedtest at speakeasy.net and have consistently gotten 18- 25 Mbps download and 1600 Kbps uploads! A vast improvement to say the least.
