Motorola SURFboard SB5120 Cable Modem

Nothing to dislike, it works. It's fast. This is now my 4th cable modem in about 11 years, it seems they have all started to fail after so many years. My last one (A DLink DBDCM202) was just as fast, but it failed after about 4 years of use just like all of them have. They start to drop connections and I would have to go re-boot the cable modem. It would get so bad, I had to reboot the modems at least once a day. When it was happening up to 2 times a day, I HAD IT! That was time to buy a Brand New modem! I haven't been using this one now for long, but my original old SURFboard SB4200 only lasted about 4 years as well.

It should be noted that I use my cable modem 24hrs a day around the clock, I never turn them off and I work from home so they get very heavy use, especially since 2007 what with all the TV & Movie content coming right off the Internet now (Netflix Watch Instantly etc.)

Motorola has created a cable modem that is great and reliable.
This modem has functioned flawlessly with no issues with cable company compatibility.

This Modem died 11 days after i bought it. No idea if the seller knew or not but save yourself some time and skip all used SB5120 ads of used or refurbished modems and buy a nice new one.

I got a good deal on the modem so that made it attractive from the start. I got it in anticipation of switching providers and it was a good decision. All I had to do was plug it in, which was intuitive, and call the provider with the MAC ID. I was impressed at how fast it was setup and running. Since then it has not failed to work. So for me, the install and forget about it was my wish, and the affordable price made it a reality.

Got a deal on this modem and it's great, especially when compared to my old modem. I particularly like that I can now monitor my own signal levels without having to spend $300 on meters! This modem helped me to solve latency and signal issues I otherwise would not have noticed!

i never have too connect to log onto the internet again all i do is turn on my computer and i am loged on and the download speed is fast even with a cable connection.

Looking for Cable modem after renting one for 4 years ( crazy i know !!!) they offered a new modem better than my current one at a great price couldnt resist

The seller shipped the item very fast and as soon I plugged the cable modem, it worked without any problem. This is a honest seller and I will buy items from him in future without any other thought.

I have been using the modem for a couple of months now. Works like a champ. no problems setting up. It was worth the money, I bought it used. Now I don't have to pay the cable co to rent there modem.

Very easy to setup with Comcast, provides reliable operation. I like it's small form factor. However I wish the the power supply was integrated with the unit.

This product does exactly what is supposed to do! Easy to connect to the system, functioned right out of the box even without any instructions included. Highly recommended for anyone looking to set up a cable based home net-work.

Works well with my Comcast Service. Easy set up. I simplely called Comcast customer service, gave them the MAC ID on the cable modem and it was set and running in less than 5 minutes.

The modem is fast and reliable. Clearly up to date and easily configures with a cable high speed plan once the MAC ID is registered with the service provider.

Is the best for me right now, is fast, affordable and cheap !!
I'm using it with two laptops at the same time, and performance is great, I guess because the turbo speed on it.
I recomend it !!

Very happy with this modem. I had one before and I said if I ever get a chance to buy a new one I will get it. I got this modem for my mother. She need a modem that is easy to rebot. She will be happy with this one and this modem is quick.

Good modem. Simple install and has nice styling. Seems like the only limit of the conductivity is your internet provider.

Great item will pay for itself in a year can't beat that. Comcast doesn't like it , but that's just too bad, too sad.

I prefer Motarola modems, good units, they are just modems that provide a service. This is not always an appreciated characteristic, working every day, all day.

THIS IS A GREAT MODEM, IT WORKS WELL. IT HAS A BUILT IN VOIP INTERFACE FOR TELEPHONE USE ALSO. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH IT AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A CABLE MODEM.

It will save me money. After 6 months I will save 5.00 per month for a couple years. I don't like this new deal here. I will possibily go to a different to purchase what I want.
