Motorola RAZR V3r (AT&T)

Broke old phone and didn't want to pay retail prices. It is a great phone and wanted another. I had a Razr V3r when I signed on with At&t but had to do a 2 year contract. I had broken the phone an was told I would have to purchase a new phone with posblity doing a new 2 year contract. I only have a few months left on the old contract an don't want to renew. My other option was to look on E-Bay for a replacement.

I love the simplicity of this phone. Was disappointed when AT&T told me the couldn't replace it. So I went to my favorite online shoppping place, E-Bay, and purchased said phone. The warranty was cheaper and covers better than the one from the cell company.

I have had several RAZRs, including the original V3, V3i and V3r. I had the V3 first and liked it fine, except the camera has pretty low resolution (640x480). So after about a year I bought a V3i, which has a higher resolution camera, plus MP3 player. I looked carefully on Ebay for one which had the real iTunes interface -- what a big mistake! The only way to use iTunes on the phone is to give your whole music collection over to Apple iTunes control on your computer. And the iTunes software is a total dog, with background processes gobbling up your CPU etc etc. After a few weeks tearing out my hair, I uninstalled the whole mess, and simply copied the MPS files directly onto the V3i (where you can play them one by one as 'sound' files without using the iTunes function).

I eventually lost my V3i, and bought the non-iTunes version, which is the V3r. What a great improvement! Rather than insist on taking over your life, the V3r MP3 interface just lets you copy the mp3 files onto the phone, after which the Motorola Digital Music Interface plays them for you (just like the iTunes player, only ten times simpler).

The RAZRs I have had have been great. Very reliable, and really easy to slip into your pocket.

One word of warning though, apparently some fake ones have started to show up on the market. I bought a V3r on Ebay for a friend overseas, and although it worked fine on my AT&T sim card (I checked before sending it), it wouldn't work overseas (and it was supposedly unlocked). So my recommendation is to buy a branded one (e.g. AT&T) and then unlock it if you want to use it with a different provider.

but unlike described was not in good working condiction !

i love the burgundy color. clear screen. i take photos of my favorite calender scenes to use as wallpaper..works great. good reception. wish battery lasted longer but none of my newer phones last as long as my original old phone i started with. i think it must be all the extra bells and whistles! overall this a great little phone..i love it.

I bought a RAZR v3r on E-BAY ! At first it worked GREAT ! After awhile it just stopped working ! After replacing it , I found out that my original one was STILL under warranty ! It took awhile to get mine back . One year later ,
it's STILL working perfectly . And I have a new one as a back-up !
A couple thoughts :
1) ALWAYS use a case (cover) . It does a great job protecting your RAZR .
2) I love the memory card slot , but to use a 2GB , you must format on your computer first , or the RAZR may not recognize your card !
I have hundreds of songs & photos in this little chip !
I can use an adapter to listen to music through headphones or amplified speakers . I can even feed my music into an FM transmitter & play my music through my truck stereo . Sounds good , too !( The adapter sells on E-BAY for about $10 shipped
I only wish that this phone was AD2P capable so I could hear music through Bluetooth devices ! --LJK--

This phone was purchased for my son and he LOVES it! Does everything that he wanted and more. Very pleased.

I like the motorola phones and it was an excellent deal on this item. The shipping was good, the phone was in good cosmetic condition. The color was perfect for me because I like red.

I wanted to get myself a new phone found this one on ebay i liked the color thought it would be just what I wanted .Well some of the keys stick the the battery dose not keep a charge for lone. I wrote to the sell he did send me a new battery which still dosen't keep the charge I am very unhappy with this phone.

I never expected this phone to be this good. I got the best of the bargain in this deal and I want to report the camera is one of my favorite features. Voices are loud and clear. All of these features are easy to use and navigation from one to another is simple. You can't do better, when shopping for a cell phone, than a Mororola Razr.

Second one i have owned, 1st one lasted 4 years. That was enough for me to get another. Great all around phone.

I like the clam shell for protection,the micro sd card for storage, Ive had many phones and this is the easy to use and afordable, great speakers, and great camara

The phone has a good battery life, small and compact. The flip makes sure I don't make calls by accident. It is a replacement for the phone I dropped and broke. Would recommend to anyone.
