Being an owner of this phone I have been able to get to know the phone quite well. Being a long time fan of Motorola phones, this is first one I am not overly excited about owning. I will start will the cons of the phone. The reciever sensitivity (How well the phone picks up the signal) is lacking. Having owned many motorola phones previous to this one, I find that is doesn't work in near as many places as my Motorola E815 did. I am not sure but I have a feeling that is Verizon's fault. By placing their User Interface over Motorola's software they disable many features of the phone and substantially reduce the quality of those that remain. As with the V3c, the delay in the menu navigation is still there, however it is greatly improved upon. The ringer volume is a little on the quite side. The bluetooth as with all verizon phones has been crippled so if you have a handsfree system in your car that can store the phone book you are out of luck. The battery life with the original battery will not get you through the day with the bluetooth turned on, that is will minimal talking. Without the bluetooth you can expect to be able to use maybe 200-250 minutes without needing to recharge the battery. Car Charges are a very good investment with this phone.

Now for the good about this phone. It is carrying the nations most reliable network available. The addition of a MicoSD(TransFlash) card slot makes the phone way better. RAZR's internal memory also normally lacked, however Verizon has upped the number to 40 megabytes(about 25 is usable due to Verizon interface). The Camera quality is just as good my E815 except in low light conditions, the lack of a flash is kind of a bummer, but I use a real camera in low light so that I have a real flash. This phone feels very solid and well constructed unlike the RAZR sold by T-Mobile and Cingular. Overall I find this to be a good phone. If you want the small size and are willing to sacrifice a little battery life, I would recommend this phone to you.

If I have raised any questions in your mind feel free to ask.

Yes, yet again, Verizon Wireless's dummy employee (that being me) decides to review yet ANOTHER phone from the company haha! But hey, the Razr wasn't first by Verizon Wireless anyway (Cingular stole it first), so I guess I can cut myself a bit of slack.

Anyway, the Motorola RAZR V3M is now on a CDMA platform...finally! And I'm here to review it, ladies and gents! ;-)

The RAZR has sold for such a long time for its slimness factor and ease of transport. Consumers typically like sexiness and form factor (myself included), so I can see why Motorola has made a smart move to have such an awesome device and have such a market share on it. The fact that Verizon has one now is just going to make the device sell that much more.

Now for my opinion...it seriously rocks, not only for its factor, but its features! With V Cast/EV-DO technology, 1.3MP camera/video camera, onboard memory, and (yes!) a microSD card with TXT/PIX/FLIX messaging and MP3 player, it just is an all-in-one device for what you're looking for.

But wait, many other phones have these features, so what sets this one apart? The keypad is smooth, the reception (from what I've used) is awesome, and it just is so slim to slip in even the smallest pocket or deepest purse.

Here's why I'm giving it 4/5 stars. The RAZR just doesn't have the sturdiness factor that I require on a cell phone. I'm a klutz and drop my phone all the time; it's just a fact of life I've had to get used to lol. Not saying the RAZR is complete junk (it is hard to break actually), just saying I do put some abuse on the phone, which doesn't help me too often there.

Also, the battery life because of such a small factor just doesn't cut what I need in a cell phone. (Its talk-time is limited to about 205 minutes.) I had the same issue with the A900 Samsung with Sprint, which is why I veered away from this phone.

Personally? Try looking at the Samsung A930 or LG Chocolate phones as they have the same features but better reception and a more sturdy frame. But then again, for slimness, we enjoy looking hot on our cell phones right? ;-)

  Phone not working
Review created: 09/05/08

It is hard to believe that someone would send a phone that clearly does not work. even after 8 hours of charging. the phone functions for 10 minutes and then shut back down and never came back on. It was clearly defective before sending.

  Motorola Razr seller
Review created: 09/04/08

This seller has a rather scary disclaimer on his auctions basically saying all sales are FINAL! His feedback, however, seems to contradict this. In my case it doesn't matter as the phone is great. In fact it is quite a bit better than he described! It looks brand new! My only problem is not with the phone but with my service provider. Although the phone is perfectly compatible with the CDMA standard that Verizon uses they panicked when they saw another providers sign on screen. They balked at setting it up. This is going to take some serious arguing, perhaps involving threats of legal action, PUC and FCC filings and even physical violence I am confident that I will prevail.

  Worst phone I ever brought!
Review created: 08/13/08

I would not recommend this phone to anyone! First and foremost the pictures come out horrible (blurry even on still pics). Speakphone volume is super low to the point I can barely hear my callers. Ringers are soo low (even on highest setting) I miss call quite often unless the phone is in the same room! You to remove the battery in order to access the micro sd card! What was Motorola thinking??? Battery life (drains after just a day or 2) is the worst I have ever seen in a cell phone. Mp3 player volume is soo low I don't even use it! Overall this phone is one of the worst ones on the market!

Motorola RAZR V3m - An Industry Standard?
Review created: 08/10/08

Eeryone knows the RAZR is a very popular cell phone. So when I lost mine I had to buy an exact replacement. Why? Because Motorola got this one right. It is small, lightweight, attractive, loaded with features (web, bluetooth and mp3) relatively large display, and works very well with a very long battery life. It is actualy very rugged as I have dropp tested mine several times without harm. (just don't drop it in Tampa Bay. If you find it, it will most likely not work!)

My only complaints are that the web browser does not handle normal size web sites very well and has no flash or java. Also it is sad that Alltel disabled the pop email client in the phone. Savvy users can re-enable this feature.

Other than that you cannot go wrong with this standard of the industry.

Not alot of features, but was just what the wife wanted, just a phone without all the extra bells and whistles. Reception is good, better than there (motorola) cheap phones they give you when you get your plan. battery life is so,so, 2 days at best. This one was a new battery too. My MOTO Q9 global has a better battery life.

Review created: 06/09/08

EBID IS EASILY GOING TO TAKE THE MARKET FROM THESE SLIMES AT EBAY/PAYPAL. GOOGLE IS ALREADY CLIMBING TO THE TOP WITH THEIR NEW GOOGLE CHECK OUT. THE FEES ALL ACROSS THE BOARD PUT PAYPAL TO SHAME. EBID IS AN AUCTION SITE THAT DOESNT HAVE THE LOOP HOLES FOR CON ARTIST THAT DOMINATE EBAY. ALL THE PEOPLE MAKING VIDEOS ARE LIARS WHEN IT COMES TO BEING A POWER SELLER. i WILL DISPROVE THEM WITH THE NUMBERS ON YOUTUBE

I dropped my phone on a bucket of water. I theought it was ruined, but after about a week it started to work so the one I bought on Ebay was not needed. The seller has graciously agreed to accept a return of the phone and refund my money. The shipping was fast and they were easy to communicate with.

Phone is sturdy and compact. Good battery life and talk time. Bluetooth file transfer was removed from this RAZR model for "Privacy Protection". This is a negative because the only way to put files or ringtones on this phone is with a flash card or with Vcast.

I love the thinness and big screen on the v3m. It has a loud ringer and gets great reception. It takes good pictures and with the sd card slot I can store plenty of pictures and tunes! The bright red color makes it easy to find!

  terrible description of phone
Review created: 05/02/08

on the description it said the phone had wear marks and there were, they were big! and nowhere in the description did it say theyd dropped it in the water which is very mean to not let someone know. cuz i took the phone to verizon to activate it and they said the phone was all water damaged. and the shipping was susposed to b here in 2-3 days but it took 7 business days to get to me and made me very mad. and when i contacted the seller to ask where it was, they never wrote back. and this phone was 71.00 dollars and then 22.00 to activate. very expensive. paid way too much for this item. i was ripped off. and on thier feedback score it said from someone that they needed a refund from this seller and it took a very very long time to receive it and i felt that if i sent the phone back to get a refund, i wouldnt get my money back in retrurn and i paid the 22.00 to activate it and wouldnt have a phone to use if i sent it back.

The phone was only advertised "cell phone" When I contacted the seller he wrote back that it would include a travel charger and a H700 Blue Tooth headset. Since my other Razr V3m had been dropped and broken, this worked out well.

The phone is in good condition, the information on the phone was inaccurate, it's an Attel phone in a t-mobile box. I decided to buy because I thought it was a t-mobile phone, now I'm stuck with a phone I can't use.
