Motorola MotoRazr V3 (AT&T)

Having done MUCH research both online and in-hand in the last 1-2 months, I can confidently say the Razr/V3 is overall the best cellular on the US market today. I used the LG8000 a while, but its bulkiness and non-personalizable menus did it in for me. The Moto V551 was a decent small cellular phone with good battery life and non-slip "skin" and decent display and personalizable menu, but the call sounds were often distorted and a few dropped calls occurred, so I brought it back to cell phone limbo. The Sony-Ericsson Z500a was promising, but the swivel was never desirable and the OS was Very slow and the display and keypad were too small and unattractive. I thought of the Palm Treo 650, but the stub antenna and poor reception and frequent re-boot requirements took it out of the picture. The keys on the Audiovox SMT5600 were too small, and the screen was just Okay and the battery life was poor.

There is no perfect mobile out there now, but the V3 comes closest. If you will be using your phone day in and day out (as I do), why not have an attractive and vivid display and cool shape and size and material composition?, all of which the Razr has head-and-shoulders above the rest of the current US market. I carry the phone in my front pants/shorts pocket (who needs a protective cover?)and MAY get a thin screen protector IF I note scratches. Because of the vivid screen, fingerprints are expected, but what's the big deal with cleaning off the screen once in a while, depending on your finickiness. The earpiece microphone is a little low in volume, but the speakerphone and voice microphone are great, with no dropped calls to date. Battery life is decent, about 2-3 days with "normal" use for me, but the phone can be charged from empty to full charge within 1 hour (it took the V551 4 hours to charge up fully from empty!). The camera picture quality is better than the V551 and LG8000 ones, but it's a LITTLE awkward to press the shutter button due to the thin-ness of the Razr. Bluetooth and email capabilities are useful (whenever I decide I need them), but I don't need an MP3 player or smart phone or day planner or video games(if you do, don't get this cellular). And even if the OS is a little slow, what's a second here or there in your lifetime? IMPORTANTLY, you should get the V3 through Bestbuy (a Cingular rep), as they will give you a 2-year warranty for $40, unlike the Cingular folks who offer no warranty (no phone is without possible problems after a while). (note: I own no stock in Bestbuy!). Yes, the address/phone book is cumbersome (only 1st letter allowed to search), but a small price to pay for the MULTIPLE PLUSES this cellular offers.
Finally, the Razr durability has been good so far, and the phone in the "closed" mode seems indestructible (anodized aluminum - metallic surface coated by a protective oxide).

We bought this because we had one that broke and we weren't near our upgrade period with our provider.

very good cell phone many features that seem to work well the screen is a good size to see well very easy to use i would recomend this to anyone it is a very reliable phone.

Great phone, in box, included all packaging and booklet. The phone arrived in perfect condition and was brand new and unused as ad said. Arrived very quickly. Great buy.

Has large display and capable of loud speaker. Clear transmit and receive. Unit is thin and light. Extra batteries are readily available at reasonable cost.

i bought the 3 mortarola razor phones and all is good but the cameras on the phones arent working good and the black one freezes up when the camera is turned on and the battery has to be taken out to turn it back on.

The phone I received did not work, Isent it back and received another one.

I purchased the phone for my wife to replace the poor quality LG flip phone that she was not happy with. She liked this RAZR phone so much that (unfortunately) when the phone was lost, we immediately replaced it with another RAZR phone just like it. I think that speaks for itself.

This is a very stylish type of cell phone.The camera is the best that I have used. I thought very highly of my LG,but it only had 1.3 pixels and the Razr has much more, plus better zoom. The only downfall so far,is the volume isn,t quite loud enough for my bad hearing. The reason I bought this phone is because the LG has been wet too many times. Have a nice Day & Enjoy Life.

THE PHONE DOESN'T WORK! IT WON'T KEEP A CHARGE. IT ALL SO TURNS ITS SELF OFF. I GOT A NEW BATTERY BUT THAT ISN'T THE PROBLEM.

Lightweight, small but not to small. Screen is very legable and just an all around well designed phone.

I like razr.s but they do have some complications. I would recommend this phone to anyone who likes a thin and durable phone. I have owned a razr before that gave me little problems. But overall this is a great phone. I wish anyone the luck I've had with mine so far :]

I like the phone, it works well. The battery doesn't stay charged long, but it is fine. I bought it because my phone broke and I needed a new one. I didn't want to pay a lot ( what these places charge now!) for a new phone. I liked that it came with a charger, car charger, and a bluetooth. I maybe paid 60 bucks for everything. Great Deal and phone works fine!

Unlike most phones, the Razr is a thin line phone fitting in your pocket inconspicuously. It has great reception, even in my home where I drop calls all time. NY, East Meadow on Long Island. It has many features I don't use, online/email/shopping/games. The best feature of this phone is the Magenta Pink. I love it!! With that said, my latest phone, the Krazr has alot more to offer in a phone, is smaller/thinner and even has a slot for a mirco memory card that allows me to play music. Now I have the XXR Razr and that is an excellent phone with even more features that the predecessor V3.

we bought the phone for our son and hes happy with it for now. the only dislike about the phone is there is slot for a memory card to up grade the memory.

This phone has much better reception than my Samsung phone that I had purchased from AT&T. I live in an area that does not get service very well and the Razor phones seem to pick up signals better!

The phone is not perfect, it does have some knicks on it, which I did know when I bought it on EBay, but it was a good price and needed it!

Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.

I purchased this phone because I thought it was like my other one. The only difference was mine is a v3r and this one was a v3. Other than that, the phone will serve its purpose. I purchased it because my other one was water damaged and will get me through until I can get a new contract.

I love the sleekness of the phone and the bluetooth features...and it's reception. However, it is really not that user friendly and doesn't store that much...

We found out that when your cell phone breaks, you can upgrade to a better and different make of cell phone and just swap the sim card. I even just bought another newer phone so I can swap sim cards from an older phone.

phone was shipped very fast, packaged well and better then discribed in the auction . I will deffinitly buy from seller again.
