Motorola I870 (Sprint Nextel)

The Motorola i870 is the Rolls Royce of Nextel phones. It has everything you need and then some. I've ordered every new Nextel phone that came out and kept changing phones every 6 months. I've had this phone for about a year and half and I love it. This is the only nice looking phone with Bluetooth that Nextel offers. This is the only phone that has a built-in MP3 player that Nextel offers. The huge color screen is very nice with very vibrant colors. The camera on this phone is excellent for a mobile phone. It also has a memory card slot for added memory. One thing I love about this phone is its Video Camera. Most phones have a limited Video camera time. This phone comes standard with a 30 second Video recorder, but if you change the cameras storage device from your phone to the memory card, you can record videos until your memory card is full. I have a 1GB card in my phone and recorded a video 20 minutes long and still have room for plenty more. I've dropped my phone many times and absolutely nothing happend to it except for some cosmetic scratches. Its an awesome phone.

The I870 phone has the best display of all the Nextel phones, well next to the IC902 but that is more like a Sprint phone to me, anyway this phone is very solid, the speaker is very loud, feels solid in the hand, service is good, like most phones it just depends on where you live. You have your button on the side to open the phone, this is good if you have a drink in one hand and get a call. It is bluetooth equipped and has various Java applications you can put on the phone. I have had most Nextels out there, and they all have the same basic setup, the menus are all the same for the most part so what sets each phone aside is either the display, if its rugged, or if its clam shell or a stick, so you decide what style you want and you can narrow down your choice very easy. For me this is the nicest phone Nextel has, I am big on the display, the rest is all the same. Hope this helps you decide on a Nextel phone, if you need a runner up the I860 is a great phone minus the MP3 player.

it is very bulky and out dated also has insues on email and other access places i would not reccomend and anyway its discontinued upgrade to a newer model if u looking

The phone I870 is a good phone. It has a lot of features such as playing music, a camera and a memory card. I thought I was getting a good deal on ebay but it turned out to be a disaster. I purchased two phones I870 and the next model down from it. The ebayer sold me stolen phones and never communicated. Luckly I got my money back. So beware.

this is an up grade from the i870/i875. this is more slim n sleak design. it has all features as an i870/i875 lighter but about $100 more. nice phone juts dont drop them or open really hard.

On the plus side, the Motorola i870 (Nextel/BoostMobile only) has superior sensitivity to some other iDen phones (my GF's i855e lost carrier in the Hollywood Hills while mine was still connected). Bluetooth connections are easy and sound great (the auto-answer function in my headset works with the phone and voice-dialing is reliable). The phone is solid with easy-to-use buttons and a clear, good-sized display, but still fits in my pants pocket. I added a Gigabyte of storage for multimedia (MP3s as well as pictures and video I have taken) for $12.

On the minus side, when the phone is connected to my computer's USB port, the extra memory is not available (I have to remove the memory card, put it in an adapter, then insert it into a card reader to transfer files). It is possible to transfer files via Bluetooth to other devices, but only one at a time. Voice dialing is tied to the SIM card, which has three drawbacks (the number of voice dials is limited by the SIM card's memory, each voice dial command is limited to 2 seconds and all voice dial presets are lost when you remove the SIM card).

The camera is better than most cell phones, but nowhere near as good as my digital camera. You can make presets to quickly get to most camera functions with a single button press, but video recording is not one of those functions, so you have to familiarize yourself with the menu sequence if you have a Michael Richards moment. Battery life is not as good as my previous phone (i730), possibly because the display is bigger and brighter, but probably because I usually have Bluetooth on when I use the phone. A more powerful battery with an extended cover can be had for around $30, last I checked.

I like the phone. It is not perfect, but meets my needs and most of my wants.

Thank you for the promptness but I was expecting the phone that was in the picture. This one was gray instead of pink and a little scuffed up. It did have several charges though. I needed a phone and it is the model I needed so thank you for your time.

i decided to buy this phone because i had been looking for one like this for over a year, i do not like the produst i purchased due to it being broken..the seller did not send the battery or the memory card until i filed a dispute, and the phone is in horrible condition, cracked screen, scratches everywhere, when u open it the screen goes completely black, when he told me it was in good condition

Shipping was delayed, seller said she was in hospital and husband was handling her business but he lied numerous times about when the Item was shipped. I had to file a paypal cliam to have the item shipped, after I ask for a refund the seller went and shipped the item.

I bought this motorola i870 because I already liked the features that this phone offers because I already owned it, but I wanted to have one as a back-up phone, I like it specially because of the bluetooh feature because when I drive I can drive without using my hands while I do drive.A+++ features.
