The good, the bad, at least it's not ugly.

This is a really attractive compact phone that gets alot of attention. It's small size makes it easy to carry in your pocket or purse. I have had problems in the past with other phones when carrying phones in my pocket and breaking the antenna off. The i830's antenna seems to be pretty robust and I have had no problems with breaking it off. I have also had phones that just didn't ring loud enough. Not so here! On the highest setting, I can hear it ring even in a loud environments. There are a few things I don't care for though. The buttons are terribly small. This results in hitting the wrong button constantly, which can be annoying. The phone is not Bluetooth, so in order to use a Bluetooth wireless headset, you need an adapter, which kind of defeats the purpose. It would be nice if I could scroll through my contacts with the flip closed when using the walkie talkie. If there is a way to do this, it must be difficult or complex, as I have not been able to do it. Overall, it is a really nice unit and I would only replace it if I could get a V3 that worked with Nextel (which isn't possible).
Edit: Another user has informed me that you can scroll through your contacts by pressing the button next to the antenna w/ a square on it and then using the volume up/down buttons! Very cool!
