Motorola I830 (Sprint Nextel)

IN MY OPINION THIS IS A GREAT LITTLE PHONE . THIS PHONE IS SO SMALL IT IS NOT UNCOMFORTABLE TO CARRY AROUND EITHER IN A POCKET OR ON THE PROVIDED BELT CLIP .. I WORK CONSTUCTION AND FOUND THAT THIS PHONE IS VERY LOUD AND EASILY HEARD OVER CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT .. WITH CONSTANT USE OF THE 2 WAY THE BATTERY HOLDS A CHARGE FOR THE WHOLE DAY .. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE TO THIS PHONE IS THE SMALL BUTTONS BUT I WOULD RATHER DEAL WITH THEM THAN CARRY AROUND ONE OF THE BIG MODELS THEY HAVE LIKE THE PREVIOUS I730 I HAD ..

I love the size of this phone. most nextel phones are big & bulky. This one is tiny and nice. The only thing I do not like is how to text message. This is very hard to do.. you cant text from your contacts you have to know the phone number in order to text.

I was given one years ago and have bought two since because I wore those out. The only problem I have had is the antenna coming unglued. Super unit, will contine use with it until I find something the same size I like better. Also, I like the fact I have all the charges, etc.

I like it because it works perfectly fine I dont have any trouble listening when Im talking on it or anything. It is a great condition, the seller described it just like the way it was. I decided to buy it because it looked in good condition and it is the boost phonr that i had been looking forward to buying.

The reason i bought these phones is due to high request on customers, Customers love this phones due to being one of the smallest nextel ever came out with. You can fit it anywhere and its also a very durable phone.

Being a Nextel subscriber for the past 6-7 years, I've always been a little jealous of people with other plans who had these tiny little phones that they could put in their pocket. Meanwhile I had my clunky i308 strapped to my belt which is about the size of a small brick. However I was happy with it since it had the push to talk feature that I've grown to not be able to go without. Over the years I did manage to upgrade to other styles such as the i850 and i730 which are very respectable and great phones, but still a little on the large size even though they are clamshells. Then one day I dropped my i730 in a puddle and ended up on EBAY looking for an inexpensive used phone. I came across the i830 and glad I did. This phone has some great features such as a calculator, and a voice record memo feature which is great for my business because I need to document at what times during the day I arrive at my clients homes, and with one touch of a button I can record the time to keep track of it. I'm terrible at remembering to write them down so this feature is excellent. I only gave the phone 4 stars however because of the battery life. But it's really not that bad, just be aware of keeping an eye on it and plugging it in to the car charger as a habit and you'll be OK. Actually I have a habit of opening and closing it all the time since it's such a sharp little phone and I like to admire it, so I could probably add battery life to it if I stop doing that. Plus I've just been spoiled by my other Nextel phones with larger batteries. Shorter battery life is definitely worth the trade off for a smaller and sleeker phone with the Push To Talk feature. Some reviewers have a concern with the keypad being a little on the small side, but my man fingers are about average and I have no problems navigating the keys, plus the blue illuminated numbers I find are very easy to read. Much better than it was on my i730 actually. Plus the speaker phone works awesome and is just as clear sounding as my other Nextels I've owned. All in all, I'm very happy with this phone and thinking about getting another used one on EBAY just in case something ever happens to this one. It's a discontinued model so will probably be harder to find in the future. Hope this review helped, good luck.

bought the NewPhone i830 three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. My only complaint is that the menu system on the phone makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.

Let me know if this is TMobile compatible though.... I love the phone and its ratings and reviews but need to know if it will be compatible due to that I have a 2 year contract with Tmobile :-0

This is the best cell phone I've ever owned. I love its tiny size, great looks, and reliability. I've had mine for over two years and never had a malfunction. I have a bad habit of dropping my cell phones, usually when I get out of the car and knock it out of the car seat onto the concrete driveway. Even with that harsh treatment, my i830 keeps on working perfectly. Its one tiny flaw is that the bronze metal finish scratches and dings more easily than most phones. But I like it so much that when mine finally quits working or I totally destroy the finish, I'll look for another one like it on eBay.
