I560 and-or i580 the only phone for mechanics/metal fab

Every phone I have had that I carried at work lasted a month or so before the mic & speakers went bad on them, (including 2 cingular phones I ruined), and that IS with them in a very quality case. I am a fleet mechanic. I grind alot of metal at my job. The fine metal particals suck right into all the wrong parts of all the other phones I've smoked. The i560 & i580's have a VERY fine mesh screen over the microphone/speaker magnets that I simply blow off with compressed air about every week or 2. I had my last one for a year. I NEVER had a problem. I just changed jobs. My last i560 was not "mine" it was the company I worked for who owned it, and had bought just that one specifically for me because I was going through the 710's, that everybody else there got, @ ~ 1 a month. I have just set up my own nextel account solely so that I could get another i560, despite my having another year left on my cingular contract.Somebody else complained that you can only see that you missed a call, but not what the number that called was from. this isn't true. You just have to look in the call log for the last call to see who it was. The i580 is also nice, but only if you want to spend an extra $200 for the camera (my boss had been so impressed with mine he had to have the nicer one of the military spec'd phones for himself). These phones can also be used as a short range walkie-talkie if you are FAR FAR out of ALL networks and with-in (I think it is) 3 miles of another capable user/phone. VERY nice for camping/hiking/ect... I hope they never stop making these military spec'd phones or I'll be back to monthly replacements ;) The only thing I don't like is that these type of phones are ONLY available for nextel (read as $$$$)....Though thats not the phones fault heheheh ;P BEST-PHONE EVAH !!!! Though if you text alot and aren't around alot of metal dust there are better phones for you out there than these. Also mine have been fully drenched when doing road-side service and dropped more times than I care to count. I NEVER had a problem beyond the battery cover popping off once. Also the guy I'd been working for had driven his i580 over with a Caterpillar 236 w/ metal trax. Again, NEVER had a problem. These are fully industrial grade phones in my experience.
