      DROID VS BLACKBERRY VS I-PHONE

THIS PHONE IS AWESOME! PRIOR TO IT, THE BLACKBERRY WAS THE CLOSEST THING TO THE I-PHONE. SOME WOULD CONSIDER THE BLACKBERRY BETTER, BUT THIS IS MAINLY DUE TO THE LIMITATIONS OF THE AT&T NETWORK. THE DROID HAS ALL THE ADVANTAGES OF THE I-PHONE, SOUNDNESS OF THE BLACKBERRY, AND THE PERFORMANCE OF A BETTER NETWORK. IT'S ONLY ISSUES ARE BASED AROUND HOW NEW THE PHONE IS. IF MOTOROLA LISTENS TO ITS CUSTOMERS, THESE PREFERENCES WILL EASILY BE APPEASED IN FUTURE GENERATIONS. THE NEXT TWO GENERATIONS OF THIS PHONE WILL SOON DOMINATE THE MARKET. APPLE HAS A GREAT PRODUCT BUT THE USE OF AN INFERIOR NETWORK IS GOING TO BITE THEM IN THE END. THE EASY SELLING POINT FOR THE DROID VS THE I-PHONE IS ITS REMOVABLE BATTERY AND ITS SUPERIOR NETWORK RECEPTION. THE DROID KILLS THE BLACKBERRY WITH SPEED, SCREEN SIZE, AND APPS. THE LARGEST NEGATIVE FOR THE DROID IS IT GETS MINIMALLY COMPLICATED WHEN SETTING UP YOUR EMAILS TO PUSH TO THE PHONE BUT WELL WORTH THE HASSEL ONCE THIS PROCESS IS COMPLETED.

      Motorola Droid...iPhone better watch out

The Motorola Droid is the first phone offered to have the new Droid 2.0 OS. It has a great set of features, runs very fast, and overall just feels good to the user. It's very user friendly, letting you figure out how to do anything on the phone just by playing around with it (I don't know if that's why Motorola opted to not waste the paper and include a manual for the phone or not). It has the fastest web browser I've ever seen/used on a phone (literally rivaling a computer). It also has hundreds (if not thousands by now) of apps that are all either very useful, or very fun (with more being added every day).

The Droid does a very good job of mixing business with pleasure, making it a great phone for just about anyone (about the only thing the iPhone has an advantage on the Droid is the multimedia ability). I wouldn't expect to see anyone jumping from AT&T and abandoning the iPhone to switch to Verizon just to get the Droid, but with Verizon's great network to go with a great phone, I could definitely see people giving Verizon a second thought before just jumping onto the iPhone/AT&T bandwagon.

The Droid does have a physical keyboard, which is great because it will appeal to both crowds, the people that have to have a physical keyboard, but it also has a very accurate virtual keyboard for in both portrait and landscape positions. About the only complaint that I've heard about the keyboard is that the keys are very flat and difficult to differentiate between them by feel alone (although most people actually look at the keyboard on a phone while they type, so not really that big of a deal). The keys have a nice clicky-ness to them, but aren't difficult to depress.

Overall, the Motorola Droid is a great phone that will have anyone that purchases it happy, as long as you know it's what you want (which I don't know how it wouldn't be).
