Motorola C261

This phone features a slim candy bar style design with a large, bright, color display and a VGA camera. Other features include a half duplex speakerphone, MMS, web browser and built-in games. It does not have a data cable connection so all your pictures have to be sent to your email box. This can really eat up your airtime minutes if you use it a lot. The built-in web browser does not freely access the internet. It is restricted to the TracFone allowed website only where you can buy Ringtones and Wallpaper as well as subscribe to their News, Sports and Weather service. All in all it is a great phone to own. It is much more stylish than anything TracFone has ever offered. I am very impressed with the large, clear, color screen. I like my Motorola C261 phone and I am proud to carry it wherever I go. I would recommend this phone to anyone looking to upgrade to a better more stylish TracFone. You will not be disappointed !

I like Motorala telephones. I got my first Mororala 14 years ago. I won the Motorola C261 at an excellent price for a camera phone. I bought the phone for my 12 year old son because he wanted a camera phone, because I wanted a phone that I didn't have to pay a fortune for, given that my son has a time keeping up with himself, let alone a phone, and because I wanted a backup phone that I could also use.

I love the phone it has everything I wanted but I am not happy the the cost of the minutes I think they are expensive and they go really fast I think I would have bought virgin mobile I had one before and I liked it.

This is a nice phone if you can get it at a price like I did. My other phone died and was a analog phone and I called tracfone and they transfered my time I left to this phone. It is easy to use and includes a 1 year warranty that will come in handy if problems happen. I am disabled and the cost of airtime is higher with tracfone but if you are on a limited buget you don't have to worry about a monthly charge like with a Sprint or Verizon phone.

I liked useing this phone because there was no plan involved. It was great to take pictures. What I disliked about it was the fact that you couldnt have real tune ringtones.I accully ended up breaking the screen on mine skateeboarding because I fell on it really hard. I later purchased the lg 225 and that phone was problably better but it is also more expensive and a newer phone. I liked this phone though. The only reason I left tracfone was because all my friends switched to tmobile so i just followed.

This phone can be bought for $39 with a 200 minute card, it is a cell that takes pictures and is very easy to use. comes with a charger and caller id, call waiting, speaker phone and long distance as well. there is not a two year contract in fact no contract,

i think this is a great little phone. i bought it because it had a camera. i thought this would be great to have because i have a new baby so if i have my phone with me i also have a camera in case she does anything that i want a picture of. its also great because i dont have to worry about a bill. i just need to get phone cards to refill the time. i dont use it very often but works perfect for what i need it for.

I bought this because it was fairly priced, and simple for my wife to use. I had a problem with the way the phone book entries went into the phone. So I called motorola and told them about the problem and gave them information on this phone that was supposed to be brand new, but it turned out the phone was out of warranty. I tried to contact the seller numerous times the same day, the next day, and the next day,and got no answer so it look like I'm stuck with this phone.

The phone was used and not new. When attempting to activate the phone received, I discovered that the phone could not be activated in my name because the phone was in an existing account of someone else. I had to go through Tracfone customer service before I could begin to have the possibility of activating the phone. After talking to the Tracfone rep. for over an hour and being on hold most of the time, he said he was sending me a new SIM Card. I had to wait for the new SIM card to arrive before trying again to activate. I understood through the Tracfone customer service the SIM# would be assigned to my account and could activate the phone when I received the card and installed. When I tried to activate the phone after receiving & installing the new SIM card, I could not do so. I had to call Tracfone again for assistance for a phone that I was told was new but was not. The customer service rep went to her supervisor and after about an hour back and forth the phone was activated with my newly purchased "double for life minutes card" activation but the activation period would end that same day although I had 100 bonus minutes with the card. I then processed activated my newly purchased 60 minute card in order to use the phone past one day. If I had received a new phone as I had bid and won, it would have arrived in an unopened package (as advertised) with an enclosed card with the ser# and SIM # number. It arrived in the mail in an opened package. If it is used and not active, it does not work and therefore a useless a phone to me the eBay purchaser. This is the third Tracfone that I have purchase, one with Tracfone and the 2nd brand new on Ebay, and know how a phone can be activated. I did not receive the phone in working order and therefore; I consider the Tracfone as received as in poor condition.

Phone is excellent have had no problems with it at all, would buy again from this seller., I did have several questions and seller answered all questions fast and in a timely manner.

This is a great phone for the price I paid. I did have to call t-mobile to set up all of the features of the phone but it performs exactly as the seller stated. I bought this phone for my teenage daughter so I wouldn't have to extend my service contract. For the price it's a great buy.

I was disappointed, because I could not activate the phone, because, it had not been scanned by the seller, so this was a waste of money.

I love it!!! Will recommend it to everyone I know looking for a inexpensive alternative to high priced Phones and contracts. It has all the options, I wanted and needed. Will buy another one if I loose this one.

Well, I originally purchased this because I was told that I could get online and check my e-mails and get maps, etc. I have now found that the only place I can go online on it is to the Net10 site and that is it, I could care less about the Net10 site. The camera is so-so, the pics are ok but with it not having a flash you are lucky to get any pics to come out unless you are outside in full sun.
The good on it is that I get great reception, it is nice and thin and it has a big screen. I would never buy one for the price that Net10/Tracfone askes for it as I do not feel it is worth their price, however, for the price on e-bay it is worth it since it comes with the minutes.
Personally I would not ever recommend this phone to anyone as it can not do anything more than just a regular basic phone.

I purchased this phone for my daughter. The selling point of this phone was the camera. The phones reception is very good as well. The big selling point for me was that I am able to keep costs down with this phone with the 10cent per minute plan as well as the texting capability. There are some features that this phone does not have like some of the higher priced phones but for the price of this phone I felt it was a good deal.

The cell phone arrived quickly and in great condition.I was surprised how fast it was delivered and to this date no problems with phone it works perfectly. The sellers provided great service I would definetly buy from them again.

Best value, this phone when combined with Net10 service works where others won't. From Florida to Alaska, including Canada, this one worked while none of the plan phones did. Never leave home with out it. The big providers have good customer service, but if you don't have a signal, what's the point? The kicker is, if you shop for air time, it's the least expensive way to go.

Not what I expected! I was expecting somthing like the sliver. Very basic phone.Camera, video and that's it. Nothing great about it, I'm suprise they don't give them out for free. Going to buy a different phone and I just got it.

I liked the speaker phone, I don't have to look for my phone list, camera, I can automatically delete message after I've heard them.

I wanted it for the pict phone, it takes picts but you can't downloaded them! I wasn't too happy about that.

What you like most about it?
the look, size and interface, it is a good looking little phone. I can put a pict and a ring tone depending on who's calling, that is neat.

The web feature is just a way to get news, weather and other info, you can't really surf the net w/it.

The C261 is not comfortable for hold in ones hand because it is too wide.While the big display a numerical keypad placed on a small space offers appropriately-spaced keys and are not pleasantly comfortable in use.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Motorola handsets.The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the comfortable center keys, make the phone easer to dial.Its keypad is as pleasing in use as its chassis is on the eyes: tactile feedback is excellent and all buttons are placed in a logical manner - quite a feat, considering C261's knack for quirky keypads.And last,but not least, a five-way navigation buttons centered below the display.
