Taking Me to a Higher Ground

Being one of the Chili Peppers first mainstream albums it satisfies both the avid Pepper fan and the interested listener. This the album where we see Mr Frusciante and his strident chops showcased so prominently. Singles such as Stone Cold Bush, Higher Ground, and Nobody Weird Like Me truly foreshadow the Chili Peppers development into a powerful presence in rock.

Mother's Milk [PA] - Red Hot Chili Peppers (CD 1989)
Review created: 02/11/09

This is a very early CD from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and features their funky style more than more recent CDs. Slap bass, rap, and repetition are used frequently in this album. It is a must have for any serious RHCP fan.
