Mother Teresa (DVD, 2006)

I must say that though I am not Catholic and I pray to and in the name of Jesus Christ, this is an awsome film. It depicts Mother Teresa's love for those less fortunate and her willingness to do God's will no matter what the costs. I never knew just how important Mother Teresa's life was until seeing this movie. She was an example of everything a human should be... (Christ like nature) she had the heart of Christ & faith that could move mountains. I would say that this is one of the best films I have seen in years. It shows courage, love, compassion, a humble spirit, and tremendous faith in God. A movie fit for family viewing! AAA+++

I liked the way the movie was true to the life of Mother Teresa. I dedided to buy it after seeing it on TV.
I thought Olivia Hussey was wonderful in the part. I am very happy I purchased it. I was happy to see it was shot on location in India or at least they did a good job in creating the scenes. I liked this better than other shows I have seen on her life.

I have a particular fondness for biopics. This coupled with the magnitude of the character the film portrays led me to purchase the DVD. While I watched the film and enjoyed many aspects, I have to say that I was a little disappointed. I felt it did not always find the mark and was less powerful than I expected. Perhaps it has tried to cover too much ground and therefore cannot fully explore all the areas it presents. It is probably not a film I shall watch a second time.

This is one of the most beautiful movies I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. I find it rich, colorful and totally worthwhile. I was so moved by it that I bought 5 more copies to share with friends and family. I find it very uplifting everytime I watch it (which is often), especially when feeling sorry for myself--it helps to put life back into perspective. It is a little hard for children to follow, but well worth the effort of having them watch it. I love this movie.

This is an inspiring and well-done film about the life of Mother Teresa. Her life is one of serving God by loving other people--the poorest of the poor. She lived her life of beliefs with true humility consistantly, a wonderful model of a saintly life. I have played this already several times, as it is uplifting (unlike reading the daily news of killings and self-serving people). There are people who are doing good in this world and sending forth love to mankind. We need more stories--true stories like this--to be told to encourage us and as a role model. Everyone should see this!

This is one of the best videos I have ever seen. It portrays the true motive of Mother Teresa's work in the spirit of service to humanity. She reached beyond church traditions to the very essence of the life of Christ. She was moved not by man made policies, but by the love of God to minister to the needs of others, as if she was ministering to Christ himself. A must see for all.

This is a very well done movie about Mother Teresa's life serving the poor and the sick in Calcutta. It is very inspiring and uplifting and I highly recommend it for viewing by the entire family. It is a tremendous example of what one person who is totally devoted to Christ can do with the life they have.

This movie is a uplifting of one's faith no matter what ones faith is. Olivia Hussey give an commanding preformance as Mother Teresa. I found the production a litte weak, especially in the early part of the movie but Ms. Hussey portrayal of Mother Teresa's faith and openness to His way carries the movie through these areas. I was moved by the movie and concur with Phil Boatwright of Fox Home Entertainment when he said "While this little nun from India was a lighthouse, Jesus is the light." Jesus is the main chacter of the movie. I would highly recomend the movie and give it 4 of 5 stars. GW
