I had many ideas about marriage and this book confirmed quite a few of them. One thing this book did that I didn't expect was that it pointed out a ton of things I would have never thought about. It helps to identify things that you will need to address with your spouse to make the marriage go smoother. Why learn the hard way when there is a book that can give you some insight on what's coming up. It's no substitute for the bible but it has SO MUCH to offer a couple that wants to put effort into making their marriage work.

Our minister requires everyone she marries to read a copy of this book prior to the wedding. We fell in love with this book. It's easy reading, shows marriage from the husband's view and the wife's view, and talks about what to expect out of the first year of marriage. Coworkers who were married 20+ years enjoyed reading the book on their breaks.

very good book, especially the first chapter for the woman! :D great stuff! i really liked the Biblical aspect of it, and the support of the husband AND the wife writers. referred to it many times when going through marriage! :D
