Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (PlayStation 2, 2006)

this is by far the best fighting game in the console because everything maybe the same but the list of characters are the one who want me to buy

Mortal Komabt has to be the best fighting game ever. It is so rough and exciting and graphic with the fatalities. It goes like this: Throughout the Mortal Kombat universe, the warriors were growing too strong and numerous for the realms to handle. The warriors' powers threaten to utterly destroy the fabric of the MK universe. These warriors clashed in a single battle royal that would threaten to rip apart reality and bring about the apocalypse. Without warning, a pyramid rises from the ground, and the tip bursts into flames, attracting the warriors' curiosity to see what it was. The kombatants fought one another to get to the top, while Blaze revealed himself to them. The fire spawn was created by the mother of the main character in "Konquest" mode to destroy as many fighters as possible in order to save the realms from Armageddon. This would be the warriors' last battle, their last chance to prove that they are worthy of surviving, while many others will perish. This will be the final battle for Mortal Kombat, the battle that will determine the fate of the realms.

I played this game at my cousins house for the first time about a month ago. The first thing that really caught my attention was the selection of characters. I was just shocked at how many kombatants you can choose (Over 60!) It was hard to decide who to pick first. I played it and thought it was just awesome.

I decided to buy it. There is an option of gameplay called Motor Kombat which is like mario kart but with mortal kombat characters. I thought it was so fun. Also, there is gameplay called gthe konquest which is almost like a roleplaying quest where you play a storyline and go through and fight all the characters. This game is worth buying just for the konquest, I promise you that. To top it off, you can build your own character. It is not the cheezy create your character like in other games, you really get into serious detail. Perfect game to keep you occupied for a while, and perfect for when friends come over, highly recommended!

I primarily bought this game because I'm a mortal kombat nut. I've always enjoyed the series ever since I saw it in the arcade when I was five. This latest installment is like a thank you from the producers to all the fans out there. I definitely wouldn't reccomend it to a beginner MK player and definitely not to one that has never played a fighting game before. The fighting styles are cleaned up in this MK. In the first three dimentional MK game for the GCN, PS2, and X-Box, Mortal Kombat: Dadly Alliance, there were two fighting styles and a weapon per character. In this game, there is only one fighting style and one weapon for each and every fighter. And I mean EVERY fighter! Every character from the MK series is in Armageddon, including Meat, the zombie with no skin which cameoed in a minigame in the original MK. Also the new motor kombat game is very fun and challenging, Mario Kart fans will love it. The new kreate-a-fighter mode is fun because you can make anything from really cool characters to insanely stupid chatacters. However, some of the game's faults are that it's hard to hit your opponents into death traps, something that was much easier in MK Deception; also the Kreate-a-fatality mode sounded cool in the MKA trailer, but it does lose it's appeal after figuring out an eleven hit fatality. Nevertheless, for veteran MK players, I highly reccomend it just for the fun of having the fat cop Stryker beat up the little known purple ninja Rain.

This game has moved to the top of my PS2 playlist. It is by far the best MK game ever made. I love the multiple fatalities, death traps, and weapons! The Kreate a Kombatant is the bomb! Blood, guts, swords, axes, spiked clubs, fire, lightning, ice, spears, four arms...did I mention blood? Who could ask for anything more? If you've enjoyed playing any of the past MK games...You're gonna LOVE MK Armageddon!

Despite all the bad reviews out there for this game, I rather like it. Ok, so the fighting engine isn't as fast or as fluent as other titles, but this remains an arcade style game that's a lot of fun to play. The Kreate A Fighter option didn't impress me at all, but the Konquest mode did as it gets very challenging. I do like being able to knock other fighters into burning lava, spikes, fans, and everything else, lol. The air Kombat really adds a new level to the game as well. The biggest plus I found was that almost all of the characters are unlocked to play in versus mode right from the start!!

Pros: Tons of fun to play with your friends as well as in Konquest mode. Lots of characters to get you going, with only a few locked away.

Cons: No two player Konquest mode and an aging fight engine.

I love this game. It is a hot fighting game with many wonderfull/awesome characters with much excellent moves and fighting/finishing combos. Buy this an you will never regret your purchase.

If you like bringing back old Mortal Komabat characters, then this is your game. 60+ characters to play plus there is a Kreate-a-fighter mode that lets you build and custimize your own characters with basic moves and specialized moves. Besides all this, there is Konquest mode and Motor Kombat(MK racing)! With pwerful combo attacks and the fatality system it is great fighting game. The game has a ESRB rating of Mature 17+ and is well earned for blood and violence. Most of the arenas have deathtraps on them too, making more than one way to defeat your opponent. Overall, it is a really good fighting game, but if you have kids playing it, turn the blood level off.

The story line and endings on this one are real good. The combo system is easy to learn and fun to mess with. It's got a gang of characters. And the fatalities are easy so you wont frustrate your self trying to remember buttons for fatalities.

They brought back EVERYONE!!! This is the ultimate MK Game for MK fans!! Kudos to the MK Staff! Thanks for a great MK Era!!

I ordered this game from a seller that basically sold me out. I received an email from him/her stating that the item was sent when it wasn't. I disputed the purchase with eBay who in turn returned my money. The seller has since then been banned from selling products because I was not the only victim. So how is the game, I don't know, but the seller is history.

Armageddon redines Mortal Kombat. Being the last Mortal Kombat game on the PS2 I'm sure all fans will enjoy it. The Kreate-A-Fighter system makes what you want a fighter to be a reality. With all characters from the series (minus khameleon) the roster of fighters is massive. Blaze, Taven, and Daegon are also new kombatabts to try. Konquest keeps you enjoyed for a while as well. The inclusion of a Broadband connection make going online fun so now you can test your skills against other players. If you have a PS2 get this game. If not wait for its Wii release.

Since the original Nintendo game to now I've been playing them all and I will always love to defeat all my friends and family at it.I can't help it,I'm a Natural Born Gamer.And when you win a bid at a price like that,nobody could possibly be happier.

My son loves this game and plays online with other players.. It is a very exciting and he really enjoys it.

i like how it has many characters from the previous game. My favorite character is Mileena so it makes me happy to see that in the end, she was able to take Kitana's place. The game was exactly as described, brand new with everything and no scratches.

Love this game. I little viloent for kids. I think i still like tekken better but it come very close. LOTS of charatures to choose form in the version.
