Yes, it does follow expected vampire patterns, but that's part of what makes it good. We all know vampires don't have reflections, can't be out in the sun and are killed with a wooden stake. If you strayed from the accepted "rules" it wouldn't be as good. Now with that said, there's lots of vampire action in this book, a couple unexpected twists and some humor as well as the expected romance. With vampires, half vamps, a shape shifter, a sorcerer and a witch as well as a beings from another world it made for a very entertaining read. A definite great start for the new Circle trilogy! I think Ms.Roberts could of done a better job with this one. Review ID: 10000000001879588 Was this review helpful? Report this review Reviews I love this Nora Roberts paranormal series.
