I purchased this copy to replace the soft cover copy I studied for 2 years. Charles Spurgeon is a well respected Preacher/Teacher. And although the Material/Sermons are over 100 years old, it's lessons & applications are still inspiring people today. God never changes. Sin is Sin. Our old Sin nature does not die at Salvation. The Christian walk is moment by moment, day by day. Mr. Spurgeon clearly portrays who much he loved his Savior. And Since I wish to attain that same level of spiritual maturity, I use these lessons as time to commune with God, Learn, And glean inspiration from its pages. Morning AND evening.

Charles Spurgeon... you can not get better than Spurgeon for a daily devotion!! I would suggest this to everyone...

I was really wanting this book. I love the book and received it in fairly good time. However, the condition of the book was definitely not what the seller stated. The seller rated the book as in "very good" condition. When I received it, there were coffee stains on many of the pages and I was disappointed. I would consider it to be in "fair" condition. I wrote to the seller. They did apologize and they said they would take it back, but I didn't want to go through waiting for another book. I just wish they would have been more accurate in their assessment of the book because I would have paid more for a different one. So, in general, I was disappointed with my purchase.
