Morning Comes Softly by Debbie Macomber

Debbie Macomber is an excellent writer. I have read many of her books and will continue to do so. This particular book starts out on a sad note with an accident that takes the lives of a couple and leaves their three children having to adjust to living with their single uncle. The uncle (Travis) is also having a difficult time having to adjust to the death of his brother and sister-in-law, much less how to cope with the children. The state child services has been keeping tabs on him and has found him lacking the ability to properly raise the children.
This is where Travis upon information from others advertises for a wife. Mary listens to comments from a couple of teenagers that have seen the ad, after locating it she responds to the request sure that it's a waste of time. But is surprised when she receives a returning letter from Travis. After commucating by letters and telephone Travis and Mary makes the decision to marry for the childrens sake.
There is more to the story then this but I will let you read it and make up your own minds. I find it a very good book and recommend reading it.
