Pros:
phenomenal ballads, general emotion easily felt
Cons:
insipid guests sans one, tries too hard, vocally lightweight, "it" production
It seems that in the music business there's a group of artists who are extremely unassuming in their successes. You know the ones: a few hit singles sprinkled over several years, a gold plaque here or there. But you never really hear much about them so each time they reemerge onto the scene, you find yourself saying "where'd they come from", despite how familiar you are with their body of work. One such artist is Canadian chanteuse Mrs. Grant Hill, a.k.a. Tamia. She came out in the mid-to-late 1990s with her debut album, scored a memorable hit or two (So Into You) and went about her business..
