MoonBase Commander (PC Games, 2002)

Moonbase Commander is a fantastic example of, "Minutes to learn, a lifetime to master!" Don't let looks fool you! While the graphics are what some may call, "merely adequate", they're actually very good, if a little spartan. The gameplay is fun, challenging and rewarding.

I've owned this game (multiple legal copies) twice before (lost/misplaced due to moving) and I'll continue to buy it where necessary. It's worth far more than every penny spent.

The most fun to be had is via network with friends and family (hence the multiple copies). Just be sure to download MoonbaseIP from the net in order to play network directly. I strongly encourage you to try this game. If you've ever played "Artillery" or any of the many variants available over the last 20-25 years, throw in a litte Dune 2 / Command & Conquer / Starcraft and you'll love this game!

All in all you can't beat Moonbase Commander. It's got fun, learning (wind/obstacles/velocity/angles), challenge and it's available for such a low price, you'd have a hard time saying no!
