Moon Shot on Target!
Being a space nut (real space, not Star Wars junk), I enjoyed this book. It is written third person, but tells the story from the perspective of two of NASA's original seven astronauts.
I was in elementary school during the early days of NASA. I remember getting my 4th grade Teacher's extra copies of "NASA Facts" every month, and kept them in a binder to read again and again. So many of my memories have faded, it is nice to be reminded, and also nice to hear some of the inside scoop that NASA didn't really publicize.
I have also read The Unbroken Chain, by NASA Pad Leader Guenter Wendt, and find some of the same storis, but from different perspectives (and sometimes different memories!)...like asking 5 witnesses about a car wreck...all 5 will be similar but never the sames.
All in all, very enjoyable if you are into NASA history.
