I normally read Scottish highland romance novels or historical english novels. But I found this book at a book store and it caught my attention (guy on front cover is appealing also). I was hooked when I began the book and finished it in one day.
1st book in the Children of the Moon series.
When Emily Hamilton's family is ordered by the king to send a woman to marry the Sinclair Highland laird because her father has insulted the king, Emily volunteers to save her deaf sister from this fate. When Emily arrives at the new clan, she is frustrated at how the clan treats her because she is English. The only positive is she makes fast friend with the laird's sister.
Lachlan, the Balmoral clan's laird, is one of the most feared werewolves prowling the Highlands. He is a fierce strong warrior, stubborn and arrogant, and is extremely handsome. He abducts the Sinclair's sister in revenge against the Sinclair clan kidnapping one of their femwolves(woman). But this laird gets more than he planned when he also abducts Emily.
You can almost imagine the sexual tension between Emily and Lachlan as you read. Their fast paced desire and stubborn battles that take place only bring you more entrenched in the story. I loved it and I hope you do to.
This book is fast paced, thrilling sexual tension, vivid images, & yes, even humor. I will be recommending this book to my friends.
