I found Michelle Longo O'Donnell on television and wanted to know more about her so bought this book and The God That We've Created. I wanted to know what her theology was.
I found this book to be good in her understanding that we don't have to be sick, that disease and sickness can be overcome by faith in God.
What I didn't like, however, is that her foundation for such an idea is absolutely amiss. She never mentions Jesus' death, burial and/or resurrection as the ground upon which we base our confidence in the healing power of God. Rather, it seems to be all up to us and our understanding and belief in ourselves.
Throughout the book she makes reference to bible passages, but notice which ones they are - not the ones about being born again or 1 Peter 2:24 by whose stripes ye were healed, etc.
She has a background in Unity and other New Age thinking as well as Christianity. That is all mixed up in her writing. She states at one point something to the effect that she left Christianity and other various schools of thought because they didn't give sufficient answer to the overcoming of disease.
If you read either of these books, be alert to the proper foundation. Salvation is found only in Jesus Christ, Him and no other. The Bible DOES have all the answers - sometimes we just have to dig deeper to find them.

) From the experiences of over 40 years working with severely ill people, Michele has wisdom and common sense approaches to well being. This not only applies to physical disease but to a host of dis-eases - relationships, money, and emotional issues.
Her motivation for writing this came from needing to address our own beliefs and attitudes about dis-ease. This is not a book that will teach you how to detoxify your body or suggest alternative methods of healing, although she practices these in her clinic. This book addresses the mind and the spirit at work beneath the manifestations. This is an inspired work of love well worth reading.
