Young Chris Tucker Movie - It Has 2 B Funny! No Doubt!
Review created: 03/20/08(updated 03/28/08)

Whether it's Dead Presidents, Rush Hour 1 or 2, Friday 1, etc., if it's a young Chris Tucker film, you're gonna get roll on your belly laughs. No doubt!
Tucker is a street wise hustler, out to make money any petty way that he can. He gets busted by a reporter(Charlie Sheen) and is on his way to prison. Then, while "talking tough" as usual, he makes the momentary acquaintance of a big time criminal(shackled together). The criminal and his associates stage a jail break and a mass murder results(not to mention - dead cops). While making their helicopter escape, Tucker overhears the criminal friends talking about a planned diamond heist and wants in on it. However, his big mouth gets him into trouble and he has to escape their clutches before they kill him! He does, but he has no time to relax, as he has murder charges, debts to pay, different criminals, etc. that follow him now. Basically, the diamonds would cure some of those ills and Sheen could help him cure the rest. Sheen needs him, too, for a scoop. So, an unlikely partnership is formed between the whistleblower and the creep. Sheen lives an unexpectedly glamorous life, where he is barely above poor status and his fiancee's(Locklear)parents are filthy, gold-swimming rich. Tucker uses Sheen to get close to his future father-in-law.
While the big time criminals are chasing Tucker to kill him, he is secretly chasing them to find out where the diamonds are. Once he finds out where the diamonds are, he hustles the old man(Paul Sorvino)into outbidding the criminals in a winner take all exotic car auction(diamonds hidden in the dashboard of a car). Tucker makes off in the car after finding the diamonds, escaping the furious criminals and wrecking the car that was won. A news report ties Sheen to Tucker as a murder suspect and Sorvino's family now gets angry when they "figure out" that they've been hustled by both Sheen and Tucker! The criminals know that Tucker has their diamonds, so they kidnap Sheen in exchange for the diamonds. However, Tucker has other fish to fry, so he agrees to give them to other parties, too. The whole thing is just another charade in the ultimate hustle to clear his name and save his life. Using some old underworld connections, Tucker and Sheen do make it out alive, clear their names, and eliminate all of Tucker's enemies in one fail swoop. Tucker, in true hustler fashion, keeps some of those diamonds, Sheen gets his scoop, and they all live happily ever after.
