It really demystifies the electronics inside modern trains. At least I know what I'm looking at now. It may not turn me into a service tech overnight, but I'll have the confidence to try a few things now. The book also gives you a good idea about what to try yourself and what to send to the professionals. Has good general information about items that could be in any modern train (like smoke units) and more detailed chapters on the big 2: Lionel and MTH. Definitely worth your money.
