Modern Military Aircraft by Robert Jackson (2003, Hardcover)

I love this book! I've always loved airplanes and especially military aircraft. The book is divided into 12 sections -- 11 for the aircraft of 11 different countries and 1 section for aircraft that are used around the globe. In this well written book, there are color photos, specifications, drawings, views from at least 3 angles, and information about each of the 75 aircraft (including helicopters) featured in this book. For example, for the F-22 Raptor, there are four pages, two color photos, three drawings showing the aircraft from the top, side, and front, stats about the weight, armament, and more. In addition, there are interesting facts and figures about the airplane like the F-22 was one of the most expensive planes ever to develop.

If you enjoy planes, you will find the book to be an invaluable reference tool whenever you come across planes or helicopters you don't recognize nor know much about.
