When the Mob Ran Vegas by Steve Fischer (2005, Paperback, Illustrated)

Took the book to a recent trip to vegas and could not put it down. Good reading at the pool! I highly recommend if your a vegas lover like I am.

this book is really great, found out lots of things i did'nt know about my favorite city. maybe a little hard to follow but still a great story.

I borrowed the book from a family member to read and I had no idea this book originated from items being sold on eBay. The author has a lot of information and stories about vegas. Some I'm sure really happened but others could be over dramatized. There were a lot of funny stories as well but it was interesting how much Chicago was involved in the origin of Las Vegas. Since I live in Chicago I thought it was very interesting.

I thought the information in the book was put together in a confusing way. I thought it was a hard read and the book was scattered all over the place. If the author took more time putting together the information it possibly could have been written better. Overall it was interesting, but not overly impressive.
