Mizuno MP T Series Black Nickel Wedge Golf Club

I love the feel of the wedges,the solid but buttery feel at impact and the spin that it puts on the ball when you hit it right.The ball seems to always find the center of the face even off questionable lies.The look of this club all the way to the bunker blasts equals the best wedges ive ever hit.

Mizuno forged wedges are just as good as Cleveland or Vokey at a much lower price ($50-$80 new on EBay). If you've got the ability, you can manufacture the shot you want. I prefer a little more bounce with the lob wedge than the typical 4-6 bounce. It was surprising to be able to lay the face wide open from a tight lie and still hit a consistent flop shot with a 58-10 wedge. I also bought the same model in a 53-08. If you're really confident with a wedge in your hands and don't need all the assortment of 52-56-60-64 taking up dead weight in your bag, then a couple of Mizunos will do you proud.

I have played golf for over 40 years and am a scratch golfer or better for more than 30 or them. This wedge is one of the best I have ever played and I have tried virtually every major wedge brand ever produced. It has a cambered sole that makes it easy to use out of any lie; and, minimal offset, so it can actually be worked. It is made of 1025 carbon steel and possesses the soft feel of most forged clubs. The black nickel finish definitely reduces glare. Overall just a great club!

I purchased a used Mizuno MP-T 60 degree wedge and I love it. The club is very firm and predictable. The blade cuts nicely through rough grass and stays true through the sand. I would recommend this series to anyone looking to upgrade their wedges with a truely player friendly wedge that won't break the bank.

This is a brand new MP T 56 Black nickel sandwedge, well balanced and great feed back. This is little bit heavier than other wedges and should be a keeper in any players bag. Looks good and solid feel.

Nice club, easy to set up great feel when chipping real nice coming out of the sand. A soft feeling club when hitting from the fairway and good istance for a sand wedge added plus much easier to spinn bal out of bunker.Overall A+

Mizuno zeros in on the pin like no other wedges I have hit. That includes all the big manufacturers like ping, titliest, and cleveland. As long as I am aligned properly the ball will fly the line. They have my vote now.

this is a good sand wedge also very good from 90 to 100 yard out i think every one that play golf should one of these wedges in their golf bag

This wedge has a soft but solid muscle back feel for a full shot of about 115yds. That is a gap for me between my MP-60 PW and a 58-12(non-Mizuno) sand wedge that I also got on E-bay. The club size and line-up work well for me. All my Mizuno clubs have a quality that I would describe as "solidness." You can work the ball but otherwise the clubs seem to want to hit a straight ball. By opening the club-face on this 53-08 wedge you can get a 55-10 or so and have some flexibility. The black nickel finish is nice on the eye but of no great importance. I really like this club.

I got the 58*/10* in the Nickel. Aside, the handsome color of this wedge, the design is a tear shaped with what supposed to be a "C" cut on the bottom of the sole. At first, I was very concerned about this "redesign of the sole" thing. In the pics online at Mizuno, it appears to be a severe removal of the bounce portion of the sole. However, now that I have one in hand, this is not the case.

Perhaps it's a mental thing but, it comforts me to be assured that I can place this wedge snug, right underneath the ball, and pick it off clean. This adds to my confidence level just a fraction around the greens, and sometimes that can make a big difference in my short game.

The most recognized aspect of this wedge is the feel at impact to me. You strike your iron on the sweetspot, and you know that you just hit the perfect shot just by the way it felt coming off the face of the iron...soft, no shocking vibration running up the hands but, the warm fuzzy...thats the way it feels off the wedge. Chipping it around the greens, well it's a comfort.

The drawback of this wedge, it's very soft...and if you do not clean your face after every shot, your gonna run the life of the face down in a hurry...this is no exaggeration. If your going to be dishearted in seeing scratches on the face, this may not be the right material for you. If you hit dirty range balls at your locale, you going to pay an awful price for such actions.
